All I'm gonna say, is that their corp selection method seems a little iffy, I haven't even heard of half of the corps participating. Perhaps first come first served wasn't the best idea? Meh. (Maybe having qualifying rounds would've been a better answer?) *Shrug* |

Heh, if they wanna keep me interested, they can start with making the game more playable, not by hosting a tournament as a distraction.
EDIT: As for violating the rules, it doesn't really matter if the person breaking the rules, is the person that makes the rules (Just ask your government). Does it suck? Yeah, not much you can do about it though, other than let CCP know about it. ( I assume you did this already though) |

this is war! there is no "unfair"
fine, if you want to put a group of toddlers in a room to fight it out have fun
Well, the sad part is that it really isn't fair, whichever corps have more players with more SP, and have good vehicles will win. I dunno how many of the corps participating qualify as 'low level', but I get the feeling this tour wont even be fun to watch. With the exception of a few matches, it's probably just be one team rolling the other. |

At least until they get tired and take a nap. |

Yes, it was the rule here, I just don't think it was a good idea. With so few corps right now, I guess it made enough sense, but I don't think it'll cut it in the future. I just figured having a few qualifying rounds would help avoid these kind of issues. |

Longshot Ravenwood wrote:Mister Hunt wrote:The "official" rules RulesHere is a link to the violation Official CCP PostThe problem comes in where they state that it is the first 16 teams. Then they make another post about them being full on the NA spots, including the reserve slots, and them needing more EU teams. Tritan Industries had already sent in their entry, now they aren't on the list because CCP changed the rules after the fact? *edit* Basically I am asking what is the rule? What is in the sticky and on the actual website? Or a post that is buried back on page 3? "If you are a majority NA corp who believe you have enough members to compete on the EU battle server then feel free to update your existing application stating your ability to fight on EU soil." So no violation -- just a warning that you'd risk fighting against the ping until you get to the finals. Troll on. From what I understand, they sort of changed that AFTER the fact (or so I've gathered). Also note how that second post wasn't stickied (Herein lies the real problem, lack of sufficient notification). In anycase, I don't care for the whole 'first come first served' method itself, so meh. (Crud, random selection would've been a better method IMO.... Or better yet, Rock Paper Scissors to decide.) Either way, it's a little after the fact to do anything about it. I'm just looking forward to finding out that a tourney match lags out. XP |
