Since he hit me instead of the dropship, the ship only took minimal damage, but I have to say seeing a sudden blue ball of death heading straight for my face was a very freaky experience. Whoever that was, they were either a really good shot or were just unlucky enough to hit me instead of the ship and take us all out. I was rolling with XDEATHMOBX at the time, and that guy is one hell of a dropship pilot. Anyone wanna claim that kill?

As a dedicated forge gunner I can tell you I cannot see the gunners in a dropshit! When I am aiming I am aiming for the dropshit and not the gunner! However, if you get hit by me as infantry, that is intentional!

However, if you get hit by me as infantry, that is intentional! As a fellow Forgemaster I must agree with my man here. Even though I would call it unlucky as it causes less damage on the dropship... Or it depends on how you look at things. Anyways it would be impossible to reliably hit the gunner from a dropship on purpose. I've hit the gunner of a LAV once and that was unintentional. However as the guy said sniping infantry is very viable with a forge especially with the blast hit when you have the higher ground or if there's an enemy sniper up in the hills in. A bad position.

I've shot several gunners out from drop ships with a sniper so you can definitely hit them.

I know we were facing you gents in that match. We lost all the objective fairly early (we only held C at the beginning). We then took and Held B for the rest of the match. I kept getting the health of the Dropship down to armor and the pilot would drop down behind the ridge line and circle to the ground spawn in the backfield before coming back for more. It was Luck more than anything as I go for center mass and the DS started to shift to broadside. The Dropship is the only target though (like has been said previously), anything else is a bonus. Is that enough of a claim?

I got a few kills this way and it turns me angry like nothing else when the dropship has just low HP left and i hit the gunner instead of the ship. You can also open the doors so less bullets hit the dropship but it happens more often that passengers get shoot out.

It was fun to watch his LAV slow to a halt as we continued on since his LAV took 0 damage.

I killed someone from the dropship. I don't know if he was exiting or killed him from the turret.
