put your tin foil hat on we have a conspiracy. I won't stop my post there. I don't care how many ppl you'll get in your dust corp. Your a planet viking with no space fleet to back you up. sure you gained a few billion isk contracts here and there but you still can't fund a full scale war.
Full scale wars take upwards to 500b isk and thats pretty much for the start. Don't kid yourself you need us the eve player. On the same hand we'll need you for a lot of situations. But if your unwilling to even work with a fleet then you won't make it far out of high sec.
I rephrase my previous statement. As it was unguided banter. I welcome the idea of dust corps being there own entity. But it will be hard to avoid the influence that comes from eve. We are playing in the same universe so player influence game to game will be mutual. The nature of New eden comes with push-pull consequences. Dust corps can recruit eve players so they can have there own fleet and be the army first.
I for one would be happy to be apart of a dust fleet. As my skills as a Fleet Commander would be welcomed. I would be honored to handle transactions for my dust corp. My orca and freighter will be gladly put to use. My skills as a trader not only get me isk but i can happily support my ground troops in a combined effort.
There has always been 2 distinct sides in eve. Mass and the thoughtful. Mass player bases like the HBC make huge gains and even bigger headaches. Tactical players like Rooks and kings Fight battles out numbered and hold there own. This translates to this game as such. Being the dust corp with eve players, and the eve players with an army. Both fund there efforts in different ways but in all it comes down to our skill on the ground, and the skill of our eve counter parts to keep ground armies at bay. |

Most of those objecting are obviously EVE players. The recruiting with sign on bonuses, and buying of skillbooks to the masses to grow there corps is what I think is B.S.
That is a distinct advantage over anyone from the PS3 side trying to start up an EVE corp that does not have EVE friends or an EVE account.
These things that you described are normal to eve players. standard recruitment is sign on bonus, some gear, books, and cake. But the cake is mythical. May i suggest out side the norm thinking? However I see that having 6 tanks deployed would be annoying. But that is the way the universe goes harsh and very one-sided. It can't always be fair.
I want to express to ppl this game is cranked to 11 as far as difficulty. Some would disagree with my previous statement but i digress. You can easily counter 6 tanks if you thought of the possibilities of the battle. An obvious strategic advantage is armored or aerial support. Your team should have been prepared for that outcome.
CCP this behavior is certainly working as intended. AT weapons more or less work as intended, players are skilling in vastly different ways. Now its time for strategists and tacticians to make way through the carnage. |

Well said. Both of these games can work without the other, but you'll only achieve true power through cooperation. LOL spoken like you read it from a page in a book written by me ....shut up.Dont try to back track now.Yer on blast and you know it.Spoken like a true kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Wow... I hope Betamax gets contracted to take a few districts from your Corp post-launch, because I'll enjoy showing you the difference between being or using puppets, and working together. So when you wreck a kid double negative in your dropship. With turrets, shield all the moduels top gear, and knew recruits that you bought the turret skillbook for so they can ride shot gun while you get assist. That you just bought with ISK from your EVE alt and he never plays this game again because he thinks it sux and hell never get anywhere and tells his friends that this game sucks when he goes to school the next day.....who ever it may be under the same circumstance.Whether an adault or a kid.DO you think your helping or hurting CCP's potential to make this into a great game?
U actually hit the nail on the head. Some ppl will totally miss the point and not achive as much. The game is built so you can find ends and make them meet. So those ppl just disappear and New eden is self-corrected again. It doesn't matter of the age of the player. CCP is making such a unique game we have a hard time accepting what it is.
So what is this game we are playing? Maybe we can define it in 4 years time, it might even take 10. |

That is a distinct advantage over anyone from the PS3 side trying to start up an EVE corp that does not have EVE friends or an EVE account. So don't play a game that was designed with the interaction in mind from the start. Don't come on here thinking that the games are different, or Eve players wouldn't have a PS3. Basically, you yourself are wanting everyone to become PUPPETS to your way of thinking. As far as advantages go, once the game is live you will see that ISK is the least of anyones concern. It is easy to come by, even for a Dustbunny. There will even be PvE for you to pew pew pew pew pew pew at. So don't sit there and say that because someone has the backing of an Eve corp that they are at an advantage. If you don't like it, it is only 15 bucks a month and you can fund your own toon without joining up with the major corps. As you already said, it doesn't take any time to fund a Dustbunny.
Well said +1 i think i'll add a clarification though. He is not saying there are advantages in both games. So may i suggest try them. Eve is a can be played for free, and when you get to that point of isk making your troubles just got harder. After going live I will be using my freighter for my dust bros. and i'm just an eve player in a dust corp. |
