Then why are just moods still in the rotation when it obviously degrade the experience so much. It seems like a vacuum when it comes to decision making. They were so quick to take away the isk people got from eve transfers, but fixing real problems seems less of a priority.
I feel like shouting this since so many me me me posters are whinging, but I'll take a deep breath instead. Nope, didn't work.
THIS IS A BETA AND WE ARE TESTERS
When testing something it doesn't make sense to remove something causing problems just to make it nice for the testers. You leave it there and try to fix the issues. Then, if either you can't fix it, or time/money makes it impractical to continue the attempted fix, you remove/replace it. Aside from the bugs, anyone that has played it so far should be able to see the potential of the game and the dedication of its development team. If people purely want to enjoy a polished game, then come back when it's completed and released to the masses. |

Can't speak for the change in ISK reward, as I've only been able to bear to complete 2 matches since the the update went out.
What I have noticed is that lag/ framerate issues, already borderline unplayable, have become noticeably worse. Also, the hatred for mouse and keyboard seems extraordinarily strong in this one - again, that control method was borderline unusable before due to "crosshair hop" where the aim point would jump over, but never settle upon, your target (even stationary and unaware targets could not be aimed upon!). Now it's not just from one side of the target character to the other - the aim point now goes a-travelling and skips across a significant part of the screen as well.
We all (well, most of us) want this game to be a success *so much*, each time it gets worse feels like a kick in the teeth. I'm assuming you're coding beyond the PS3 limits and so over-using HDD cacheing? Maybe it's time to call up the Bethesda guys and see how they sorted Skyrim out? I know for a fact it's bad when you recommend Bethesda, I have yet to purchase Skyrim ( waiting for GOTY edition that comes with all the bug fixes and patches included [possibly]). I never did finish New Vegas, even though i logged in over a hundred hours, I had to restart multiple times, download multiple patches, used developer and player workarounds and tried to follow any and all mission walkthroughs that included bugs and glitches. That being said, I know nobody wants to hear this but this game is still in beta (blah, blah blah), it didn't cost me sixty bucks and CCP seems to be listening to at least some of our feedback and suggestions. Haha, I'd the pleasure of playing both New Vegas and Skyrim bug free. I didn't go near either till nearly 6 months after release. Great games, although they got a fairly monotonous towards the end(I haven't completed Skyrim but I've done enough to feel like I've lived a lifetime there). |

I feel like shouting this since so many me me me posters are whinging, but I'll take a deep breath instead. Nope, didn't work. THIS IS A BETA AND WE ARE TESTERS Yes, we have tested enough on those maps to establish the cause for the problems. No need to twist the knife more now considering we hit those maps so often, and it basically stops us from testing other stuff. It makes perfect sense for them to remove them in the rotation and hence remove the negative focus they are causing, and possibly also reduce the problems people have with freezes and such. It's easier to pin point those issues if a major cause for problems is taken out of the equation. It's wrecked great gaming sessions for me but as such I've accepted that when it gets too bad I either have to reboot, or rebuild the files, or do a disc check, or worst comes to worst, switch the game off for the night. The game is being progressed and tweaked fast enough to have me well impressed. Maybe I'm just easy to keep happy. The good news is that they've posted- "Removal of map that was causing very low framerate for players" https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=42530&find=unread |
