Even with all of its beta issues, we still enjoy the game. And there is much more to come...so what do you guys think? Will the playerbase be massive, moderate, or only "cult-numbers"?? too early to tell tbh when it reaches open beta and we have a release date ill get back to u
Yeah,this sounds about right.
Not a whole lot of people want to play $20 just to play a beta, but once it's free for everyone, and not just PS+ members,we will have a better understanding.
Now that being said,I'm very worried about the size of the playerbase.None of my friends on my friends list play the beta. The only friends that play are people that I met in Dust,so to me,that's kinda scary.
The problem is that in general, most people are too dumb to really appreciate what CCP is going for,and they have no interest in it.Hopefully,in the next month or so,Sony will get off of there @$$3$ and put some marketing behind the game,or we will have another situation just like MAG,were so many people don't even hear of the game until it's out.The problem is in this case,if people hear about it too late, this is a going to be a game that's very unforgiving on latecomers and casuals, thus anyone that downloads it,will probably lose interest in it fast because they don't really understand it.

making anti vehicle weapons useless didnt make it better
Did you even play back when they were giving away codes through PS Home? Obviously not, because you would remember people like Zitro running around in a scout fit and swarm launcher, using it EXCLUSIVELY as an anti personnel weapon. And then again in the next build,he along with many others, used remote explosives as a short range grenade.
Though I will agree, they have nerfed the swarm launchers to hell now, though I've always felt that they were primarily supposed to be used as a surface-to-air weapon, and not a surface-to-surface weapon, meaning that they were supposed to be against dropships and not tanks.

Sure it has some flaws, but I run a six core Xeon PC so performance wise, its awesome on my PC. I think you may want to play it once they add controller support after launch. How's your skills with the Xbox 360 controller? Regardless, its the most natural progression from MAG.....awesome stuff... That's because MAG was inspired by the first game. |
