Scanners could target AV grenades and prox mines that are more or less invisible.
Yes, no, maybe? Let me hear your thoughts. |

i'd support it if vehicles actually had a profile that matches its size.
invisible vehicles everywhere. if you aren't looking at it, it's not on the radar. |

just pull out a swarm launcher. they paint anything with a turret and a means of locomotion, regardless if they have a direct line of sight. they need the LOS to complete the lock but it dosen't make much difference since they know where you are and where your going anyway... |

i would if they weren't completely useless at everything they do. you have to pump a lot of points in order to make them useable. and no matter how many points you pump into them they will never hit a dropship pilot that knows how to pilot and a tank pilot will just drive behind a wall once he starts taking some damage.
constantly having to make 360s just to make sure nothing is behind me is kind of dumb. |

^ but at least you can see them. and even then how useful is an orbiting drop ship or a tank hiding behind cover. just knowing where to find everything that is bigger than you is good intel in my book. |

tanks are just a minor nuisance because once you scare them off you can cap a point. i can say that tank pilots are the biggest chickens in the game more than snipers.
once they get hit by something big they immediately start running. at least a sniper will get one shot once he is found (if sniper hit detection weren't also bugged) |

ha, can you really blame them though. i mean, after all the ISK and SP hey pored into there load outs they still can't "Tank" a SL or forge gun. And lord forbid a second AV player comes to help.
I'll never understand snipers. they spend there time in the hills trying to get incredibly long shots that are completely in consequential to the game only to end up getting C4'ed by yours truly :P. |

+1 good idea. more use for scanner, better for mines (not the grenade ones) to be hard to find. JUST the right balance for tanks ability to roll in and thru defences. |

True, i was thing more along the lines of keeping LAV's from getting insta poped but this works too. |

There could be a variety of active scanners that does this, while being less effective at actually scanning.
Just like the repair nanohives (because of the additional use, they're less effective at being a nanohive) |

Sure, why not. I'm just looking for a way to combat mine fields.
