Complains about laser rifles being OP... compares to AR's. Just lol.
I suspect it's just AR users used to blowing everyone away losing to lasers at range. You need to move in closer.
As to getting killed behind cover, I very much doubt this is a laser issue. Probably you either aren't totally covered, and/or it's related to the hitbox problems. |

This weapon does not need a nerf. It is a mid-long range denial weapon. That is its purpose. I use it to counter snipe, for denial, and generally give anyone shield tanking a bad day. Even when I was using the basic laser rifle, if I got a lock on you it is game over. That isn't any different from any other weapon in the game. If the enemy can shoot you, you will die.
As for over heating, they over heat hard and it takes a good long time before that weapon can be used again. And if it over heated when you only had 4 rounds left? You have to wait for it to cool off before you can reload. Honestly, the solution to surviving a laser rifle is armor tanking, but guess what? Armor loses to ARs much harder than it does lasers. So, instead of crying nerf, I'd recommend better shielding and armor to increase survivability.
Actually, now that I think about it, this may be part of the reason there is crying going on. I can count on one hand the number of people I know who armor tank versus shield tank, and shield tanking is widely considered "better" at this point. Since lasers zap shields like nobody's business, it might make people think that they are crazier than they really are, when they just happened t be better at taking out the kind of tank that's popular now. Maybe give armor a little love (which I think it needs anyway, just a bit), and you see less laser whining. |

I just like them because I'm a noob and it's easier to aim when I can see exactly where my kill-beam is going. :p That and no spread. But it ain't very forgiving... you keep falling off the target, the damage is terrible... |

But it ain't very forgiving... you keep falling off the target, the damage is terrible... Playing with the laser for so many games has made me much better with the AR. I am much more deadly ADS on the stock rifle now. I think my AR game is improving, too. It helps get a feel for where the killy-thingies go exactly. |
