While I will personally be free during the times, I would like to see them not middle of the school/work day for people. People may have plans, but weekends are typically more open and generally don't require you to sacrifice your employment or education. |

They want If it was 9PM EST I would be supporting this type of thread too. Does SI have any objection to cutting Friday for longer Sat/Sun? I'm not in a position of authority in SI. It's a dictatorship, but the good sort. I just find it interesting that everyone signed up without knowing when the battles were. First thing I checked. I have no wish to play at 4.00am for example. Now, depending how important this is to you, take a day off. Be thankful you aren't in Australia. 1 universe, 1 giant pain in the arse.
How were we supposed to know what the times were? The sticky on the forum doesn't say them (nor does it link anywhere that does). Apparently there's a community post on dust514.com about it, but that says it was posted Oct 18 at 00:00, 15 hours after the sticky went live and many of us were scrambling to get registered before the limited slots were taken up on a first come, first served basis. |

There might not even be a full 16 teams, in which case I think CCP needs to fix things so you yanks can getcha battles in. In a way, it'd be better to just get it all done in 1 evening. But it seems CCP want to string it out.
Yeah, but weekend commitments are one thing and work/school are another. It's also asking you to give up 3 weeks in a row of Fridays, whether that's your income or some form of education, which it likely is for the majority of people in the US during the selected time. One Friday wouldn't be too bad, but requiring 3 Fridays is a bit much for anybody to give up if it's work/school related. |
