First to OP, These features you would like to see will most assuredly be implemented into the game, though not in the exact mechanics you mentioned. And to quoted merc, do you mean like refining in eve? where a module or ship can be broke down into the base minerals used to make the item? As far as I know, we will not be getting that here. I think industry is slated to be done eve side not dust, so refining probably won't happen on this side either. Selling the module to a fellow dusty would net you more than if you had refined anyhow, you never get the full amount of materials that was used to make it. |

I have not played Eve in awhile, is mining still basically worthless (when compared to drone farming etc)? (I'm a sick bastard who loves mining... OK!)
As another mentioned drones got nerfed and had minerals removed with bounties added, to much was being farmed on them. Somewhat recently they did do a workover on the mining barges , retriever and covetors are worth using now even if you got a hulk. Hulk now leans more to organised lo/null sec mining instead of seeing one every asteroid belt. hulkageddon lovers might not have liked this change much, but from what I can tell from feedback from my mining buddies, it is much better |
