What if we could capture and detain enmies or friendlies? Like say there's a guy who's really good on the other team, and your team can't kill him. Now he's retreating to go refill on ammo, as he's ran out. You could ambush him, knock him out, and tie him up, then take him back to your base, so he couldn't be a problem, and then, he couldn't sucide, because his hands were tied up, so the only way he could was to have some kind of module that left his body, switched him to another, and then he could go and get his body. Or, he could have a skill to where he could cut himself loose with a nova knife if he had one, then escape after finding his guns (and trying to survive.). And also this could be done with frendlies that turn out to be spies. It would work the same way, but it's harder to get away.
Also, I thought of putting in Proxy chat, so if say sometime in the future there's cloaks, I could sneak into a base, listen to their chat, and tell the commander what I heard (the commander thread and more can be viewed here, but due to a buggy fourm, I can't post the actual pages.) .
Please don't rage and troll guys. Be reasonable. And be cool |

Switch the default melee to a "stagger" effect that damages stamina & "stuns" if stamina reaches 0. Once that happens you use the interact button to restrain the solder if performed while stunned.
A restrained enemy can "struggle" against the restrains (mash the interact button) to try to escape.
That said -- I kind of hate this idea and the moment I couldn't do anything I'd bite down on my death switch so that I could drop in a new body. |

At the cost of losing a clone (especially a expensive one) I'd see how it played out. |

You could probably have the same idea implemented with a "webifier" concept from Eve Online. Doesn't necessarily capture them, but if you are worth your salt your could slow them down and possibly "capture" their clone with some other device (it would have to be an interesting team effort)...Benifits being salvage and loot. But it would have to be something very specialized or else the whole match would be a big game of tag or capture-the-clone.
When you first said it, I was thinking of an Amarr concept of recapturing Minmitar soldiers and returning them as slaves. |

The odds of you being able to move up to and defeat the enemy team's top player in melee is very remote. And the irony of course is that while you're busy detaining this person/preventing their escape, you're not contributing to a win yourself. Meanwhile, you're sitting there watching an enemy player who is sitting there watching you. You're both doing nothing resembling fun while your team is off shooting guns and getting kills.
In short, it'd rarely happen, it'd serve little purpose, and it wouldn't be fun for anyone involved. |

True enough, but if we're looking at it from a team perspective what you could easily have is a support-tactical doing the webbing with an auxiliary or underslung device (high powered/ high tech) while his mates tag'em and bag'em.
Alternatively you could essentially have a web "field" although that would probably be more useful as an AT trap. Either way, it would provide a very interesting way of making people group up rather than solo it (unless you spend the isk to make a good solo fit with anti-webs and counter resistance) |
