I was wondering after reading about npc players not liking the BPO's and gear prizes being solely for player ran corps in this tourney. Will ccp ever hold some sort of bpo lottery like they did when introducing t2 bpo's into eve, or has it been discussed? it would allow for people to get hands on a nice bpo with the same chances as anyone else... just a thought |

and before you say you dont have the time, i have a full time job and go fencing training twice a week and hold down a steady relationship so its not hard, it just takes effort and planning. its like saying NFL players should not get paid just because you can't take part. feck off they put their whole lives towards that one goal and are rewarded as such. same story here
fencing? people still do that **** |

wrong, I'm fairly sure you are confusing the t2 lottery with the t20 incident involving ccp employee.. where a guy who was friends with BoB seeded in a titan bpo and some other goodies for them.. he just got a light slap on the wrist and left a few years later from ccp. That really didn't cause that much harm to the future, BoB is dead afterall and goons make more isk then them prints ever would have so eh. Alot of people think the t2 bpo's themselves should be removed from the game because they feel it ruined the economy.. they are wrong, just hating because they don't have a print |

you don't get it. it was the devs who cheated.
I do get it, I was aroud in Eve at the time of the scandle. Im still kittened that they decided to remove the lottery die to internal abuse. The lottery system was great. I had just trained an alt to full R&D skills and started accumilating points hoping to get my hands on a TII Ship BPO and then bam heres some Datacores for your trouble. The lottery gave vets who had been researching for years a better chance of finding that break through in technology but still allow new players a chance at it aswell. Gave it a kind of real world sence of Technological advancement, its not allways the company who been researching the longest that make the ground breaking discoveries alot of the time its the little guy working alone in his shed. Also the longer it went on the more BPO's were spawned and the cheaper those BPO's became. Removing the lottery has caused more issues with massively over priced BPO's that only the Vets or rich folk have and newer players have got little chance of obtaining one. With the Invention mechanics the BPO's are far superior from a cost to produce point of view. I still vote for it to be reintroduced lol wishing i know.
I got mine as a prize, ****** little missile bpo lol, but it still got a price tag of 5-6 bil. It just sits there collecting dust in a station container |
