Dear CCP,
I currently am really enjoying the latest build as a logi well more so before the repair tool hotfix but I under stand the reasons so im not mad.. I promise. I do feel as if the Logi bros haven't really got a weapon to call their "own" yet.
I left a suggestion in Wolfmans Stickied thread but there is 20 pages to sift through so im not sure how else to get this idea going apart from posting it here!.
Now the idea is too implement a logistic lazer rifle that when fired at a friendly will boost sheilds or repair armour of the team mate currently under attack. It will use the same mechanics as the Lazer rifle for ease but maybe we can have some specific mods to boost HP recovery and decrease over heating time.
Now im not sure whether it will be ok for the rifle to be able to fire at enemies BUT i see no other solution as Logistics suits do not have any secondary slot... I understand there will be balancing issues at first and maybe we need deminishing returns if 1 or more lazer is boosting a team mate.
I also predict that we will need to maybe decrease the amount of healing done to the amount of damage done as that would defineatly be a tad over powered, id say maybe a 50% reduction to the amount of healing compared to the amount of damage.
It just gives us LogiBros a full persona rather than running around in a glowey suit with an AR.
Kind Regards Guinevere |

I just wish you'd get points for healing a guy as he kills an enemy. That way I'd be happier to keep my repair tool out instead of trying to assist with the kill.
I really liked the medics in Resistance 2 coop. The phoenix gun absorbed health from enemies and transferred it to you so you'd stay alive longer. Also, you'd heal troops by expending "bursts" of nanobots that you only had a limited supply of. In order to get more, you had to absorb more health from enemies which put an emphasis on using the phoenix almost all the time.
If there was more of an incentive to keep the repair tool out (such as assist points) I would just carry a submachine gun and stay away from combat like a good logi should. Even before the hotfix, the rewards for healing were pretty pathetic. I just wish they'd decrease the rewards for healing vehicles and increase them for dropsuits. |

Funny you should mention the Pheonix i played RES2 co-op quite extensively (as a medic funnily enough!). Was an excellent gun to use. I would love to have the exact version in Dust but I presume there will be some copyright / programming problems to over come first (especially to have some sort of ALT fire). But CCP could definately take notes from Insomniac Games.
It really is a shame about the repair tool at current, it's like an assault guy who cant use grenades.. I just feel gimped.

Keep your main gun as a gun, I would prefer an equipment item be able to be used as a weapon.
I suggested, and others too, the the Repair Tool be a weapon to enemies. AS is or an overload/surge feature that makes it harmful.
The other ideas are good. and depending on your play style I would never recommend the SMG for a logi weapon. They are squishy and should stay out of close combat. Stick to the LASER or MASS driver and finish off enemies. Avoid direct combat and keep your teammates alive to handle them - imo. |
