I think we can all agree that the weekly grind nerfs the fun out of the game and the daily grind makes it so that any players who aren't playing every day are quickly outstripped by more hardcore gamers. I'd like to propose a new cap formula that takes into account hardcore daily players, casual daily players, weekend warriors, and new players dropping into the game...but I need your input.
What kind of gamer are you?
Casual: "Weekend Warrior" - 8 to 24 hour a week gamer (typically on their weekend, when they don't have anything better to do). Casual: "The Hobbyist" - 4 to 12 hour a week gamer. Casual: "The Occasional" - ??? hours a week (Dust 514? Yeah I'm in that beta. No, I haven't played any matches yet this week.)
Hardcore: "The College Student" - 20 to 30 hour a week gamer (whenver they can fit it in and they don't have anything better to do) Hardcore: "The Professional" - 40 hours a week gamer. Hardcore: "The No Lifer" - 80 hours a week gamer
- How many matches would you like to play before the cap kicks in?
- How much SP do you average per match (before the cap kicks in)?
- What would you like to see as a soft SP cap for daily gameplay?
- What would you like to see as a hard SP cap for weekly gameplay?
Thanks for your input! |

1. That really depends on how much SP you earn per match, obviously a less skilled person earning less SP will play more games before the cap kicks in, and vice versa. 2. about 10k-15k 3. None. 4. I would like to remove diminishing returns and make a 5,000 max SP cap per game AFTER you have reached the currently set cap. What I mean is that I will be earning my 10k-15k per match, but after I hit the cap the maximum allowed SP per match will be set 5k, which allows hardcore gamers to get their headstart, but not by much. |

I play.. well, usually just like 5 hours a week, but more like 20 this past week (this build is a lot more stable, it seems)
It seems like the cap kicked in pretty fast.. you should really be able to play 10+ matches before you notice it, at least.
Seeing your usual 10-25k sp down to 1-4k (w/ booster) is.. frustrating. I understand why, but it sucks the fun out of things.
My honest position is to lift the cap a tiny bit, but more importantly, compensate for capped sp with additional isk... then I wouldn't feel like I might as well wait for the weekly reset before it's even worth playing again. |

I can appreciate that we're playing a different number of games before the cap hits, which is why I'm curious as to how many games you'd be interested in playing before seeing the cap. |

Guess I am somewhere between "hobbyist" and "weekend warrior"
I havent hit cap obviously as I probably only average between 4k - 7k per match.
I dont think there should be a daily cap - only a weekly cap. |

Thanks for your input! i just say how bout what i asked for wich was a true sp cap on grinding as in you can only get say at most 150.000 sp in a week for grinding when you hit 150.000 you dont get any more SP from games just the isk.
this stops kids from with **** moms and dads and 40yr old V cards players from turning a game which should take time and reward thos who say with the game longer then thos who madly grind the game in over 2 months and stop.
over all 150.000 ps may or maybe to less its just a number im using to show that the game needs a REAL SP CAP and not one wich lets a no lifer play for 2 months and get every thing or be in this case 5 yrs ahead of your players who would play for over 5 yrs but only logs in to get 150.000 sp that week with his corp and friends and go.s back to RL for the rest of the week. |

Sooo...I'll put you down as a 150,000 a week hard sp cap? What about the other questions?
Edit: Nevermind -- found your other post & took the appropriate steps to interpret it. Putting you down as a an "Occasional"
Setting your how many matches... to "meh" Also setting the soft cap you'd like to see to "meh"
Only thing I still need is you average sp gain when you do drop in.
