The Caldari suit is not weighed down armor, unlike it's Amarian brother, which allows it to carry other tings other then just weapons. However, it is weighed down by a massive energy pack that supplies this suits massive energy demands. This suit is built to become a walking energy wall. i'ts main propose in the past was to function in mining sectors where large debris was common enough to shatter most other suits that are tilted more towards armor plaiting. Re-purposed for war, this suit is not something to be underestimated.
The Type II variants were built with armor in mind to counter battles that would consist of a large amount of Electric warfare.

That'll only be fair when the amarr heavy's hp is restored
It should still be limited to no equipment unless there's a change for the current
Edit: and until ccp fixes the slots to match the tank, it would have to have 2 low and one high, increasing slots in the reverse way the current heavy does |

The amount of shields they have can be nerfed to be balanced against the Amarr variant. This is just a rough idea.

It depends on the weapon because mass drivers, smgs, and hmgs do very little shield damage and considering the module less shield regen, it should actually have a lower shield than the pre nerf heavies armour

The EHP is way too much.
Amarr heavy militia go by Shield: 100 Armor: 450 (can't remember exact number)
Type I Shield: 100 Armor: 650
Type II Shield: 300 Armor: 420
That is 750 EHP overall. If anything, Caldari heavy which should be shielded-heavy suit should have less EHP because Shield is easily replenish. Also, Caldari is not known for its sturdy anyway, unlike their neighbor Amarr.
So I suggest something along this line

Type I Shield: 500 Armor: 200
Type II Shield: 300 Armor: 450
No comment on hi/low slot and CPU/PG. That would need a lot more testing. Caldari suit can perhap baise more toward Hi slot. |

I do increase their Type II armor but I don't think they should go all the way to Amarr level of 100/650 though, may be 200/550 perhap ? |

I looked at the type-ii as the caldari heavy, or at least a Khanid varient using caldari tech.
I see the scout favoring shield and the heavy favoring armour, with the racial prefrences also effecting suits. So, the caldari scout would have nearly no armour (130 shield and 60 armour maybe?)and a big shield and the caldari heavy being mixed like the type-ii. The amarr scout would be mixed armour/sheild maybe 50 shield 140 armour, the amarr heavy should get its 800 armour like old build.
I played as a scout in the old build, I think a scout should be able to circle a heavy, but it should have to reload to eat through all the armour. So, unless the heavy was alone, it's squad will kill the scout before heavy goes down. |

I also think there should be very little armour and replacing removed armor with more shields, possibly a complete reverse of the amarr? |
