When getting used to a map it takes more than a quick glance to orientate myself on the mini map as to where north is. This makes it hard to give fast and exact info/orders to teammates. Would it be possible to increase the size of the N, or even just make it a more intense color to stand out. Both would be excellent.  |

Yeh, taking longer than a split second to orientate yourself can be the death of you and your team mates. It'd save the situation of directions being given using left, right, behind you, etc that has the recipient spinning in a circle trying to line up. Funny as hell to watch and listen to, less so when you're involved. |

Haha, there have been times I thought it had disappeared when the N happened to have a bunch of icons on the mini map right beside it.
+1 to that Lion. Having a very distinct north, with the rest of the cardinal points there would be sweet. |

Haha, you're not the only one. Even knowing that it's there doesn't make it easy. CCP have talked about changing/adding to the mini map so hopefully they'll implement some of the compass ideas. |

Yep, there's a N on the rim of the mini map. It maintains horizontal as it rotates around which might be one of the problems I have with it. I use compasses a lot and I think my brain disregards the Dust one as the N rotates on the compass rim rather than like on a non digital one the N stays orientated to the center pivot point. Maybe I'm just getting old and need everything to be big, and slow  |
