I deleted my DUST save data file, warning; this will also delete all your in-game headset, and controller/keyboard settings, and will have DUST nag you with help screens for a while. But I also did Option 3 in the PS3 Safe Mode screen, I have no idea which of these, or both solved that issue.
How to get to the Safe mode: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=257720#post257720 |

So this stopped all the framerate skips that are constant in every match for you? |

It did.
Longer answer:
Yes it did, I just played a few more rounds, where only the large 5 point map were giving me a few frame stutters, but nothing like the actual frame rate crashes I've had before. I assume this is about loading data fast enough from the HDD.
I have no idea if it was the deletion of my save file, the restore disk from the Safe mode menu, or both that did the trick. But I'm pretty sure the bug in question is HDD related. |

I'll delete the save file only and then see if that works. I have to wait an hour until PSN is back up though. |

Tried doing option 3 today. There was some improvement but theres still all kinds of frame skipping whenever I start exchanging fire with an enemy.
Oh well. Guess I'll wait till next build and see if they fix it. |
