I pray to Satan and all the Gods both above and below that someone on my team has a Forge Gun. If I had known I'd be punished for not picking that specific form of AV, I would have just picked it up right away. Now I'm trying to save my SP that comes in 1-2k at a time for other things, but instead I have to sink it into a heavy forge fit just to fight off dropships.
What are swarm launchers even in the game for? They provide no support vs infantry, they literally don't touch dropships, tanks just move behind cover and lol...are they just in the game to take out militia LAVs and give the enemy team free kills?
Ugh, I love DUST, I really do....this whole build just feels so meh it hurts =_= |

Flying around in circles all game =/= skill. As a dropship pilot for the past 3 builds, I think this is straight up the dumbest thing I have ever seen. They put dropships in such a stupid position thanks to the physics and the hardener nerf, meaning that if they let swarms hit like intended, they just nuke dropships; if they leave them bugged like they are, then dropships only die when you're very very stupid.
In a squad that actually listens and works together, I don't see how a dropship could ever die to swarm launchers. The dropship lures out the swarms, while the snipers and AR guys bag all their free kills as the team calls out their locations (thanks to the giant beacons giving away their positions)
It is most certainly not 'working as intended' right now. |

Sort of. It forces swarms, which are eaten alive by anyone who knows how to use an AR, which is basically everyone. You just call in your dropship, harass them till they switch to SLs, then troll around while the AV dies, slowing down when you can to reap a few more kills.
It's just silly right now. Straight up silly. |
