The time you spend in the match is also a factor in determing your SP gain. Maybe it even matters what you actually do in this time, regardless of the number of WP you earn. And I suppose there is also a base value for SP gain that you get just by entering the match, everything else goes on top of that. I once joined a match and then immediately quit a few seconds later, I still got several thousand SP for that (I was far away from the cap). Another time, I was running around with my scout the whole time of a skirmish map, doing nothing but figuring out the active scanner. I earned 0 WP, died a lot and still ended up with 11k SP (no booster, and also far away from the cap). |

Yes. Well yes, last build SP gain was only a function of how much WP you earned per match. This build, it's different, you never leave a match with 0 SP (except when you have hit the weekly SP cap). It was also stated in the patch notes iirc.

Just had a great game..... at least by my standards.
I placed a couple of great Drop links and must have picked up around ten or so spawn. I managed around four assists and four kills.
I got just over 12,000 SP.
Compare that to turning up and dying for 11,500...............
Actually I have the suspicion that if you die a lot in a game while earning little WP, you get more SP than if you die just once (and earn little WP). I also have the impression that skirmish games pay out more SP than ambush, but that might be just due to the fact that they tend to be much longer than ambush (talking about the SP/WP ratio, not the total number of WP earned).
@brett morris518: apparently, the closer you get to the weekly SP cap, the less SP you receive for every WP earned in a match. |
