I think I heard somewhere that eventually the uber-rich players will be able to pilot there own MCC into Dust 514 battles. Is this true? And how exactly would this work?
Will they be able to hover over objectives and drop players directly onto the point? I mean I love jumping from the MCC onto the battlefield, but this seems a little dangerous.
And would a super-upgraded MCC be able to destroy the enemy MCC with nothing but it's cannons and completely ignore the ground battle?
There's just so much to wonder about. What do you guys think? |

You would drive a few hundred million ISK MCC over the objective so that can jump on the point? wtf... |

I don't think I see your point... If it has to be hovering somewhere it may as well be close to what it's attacking... |

"real" battles for free lowsec planets and nullsec planets will be fought with the ressources the corporations and alliances can bring, the battles we have right now have unlimited ressources provided by the NPC factions
the commander (the guy in an MCC) will be responsible to set priorities about who will get the tank (first), where, how and which turrets and CRUs are being placed and more stuff like that.
the MCC will absolutely one day be piloted by a player. not by a super-rich one though, just the one who is best at the job since its a corp job |

yes it will be pilotable. The very 1sp map in the 1st phase of beta moved this but had npcs controlling the movement and turrets the MCC would place. but it was awesome |

I actually doubt that a mcc would cost hundreds of millions of isk, yes double digit amounts but i doubt triple |

It's not hard to believe....
I'd put an warbarge in the region of a several billion if they are like any other carrier. |

an MCC will probably cost a few hundredthousand ISK, like the T1 frigs in eve. a rifter is about as big as a 747 and costs a bit more than 200k ISK
the war barges will certainly more expansive |

Well, where it would make sense to pilot the MCC is of course at the beginning of battle. When deploying at the start of an operation, one has to still select wether to approach from the North, East, West, etc. )of the target (especially in the softest flank where there are no turrets, mines, obstacles, open fields, etc. defending the area.
I do hope that CCP does give us that tactical choice at the start of a battle, and of course, as a counter tactic, the defending team could employ some Anti-Air to limit the deployment options in a determined battlefield. |

That's a war barge, it's probably the size of motherships anyways but they function like lightly armed freighters so I'd say right under one bil for them |

the war barges will certainly more expansive LOL no, if they costed less than tanks there'd be no reason for tanks so I'd say at least a couple mil |

They're gonna cost 120 million isk.
I suspect they'll be a "One per team per battle" type thing, too. |

If it moved over the null cannon, wouldn't it constantly take damage even if your team captured it? I'm sure you COULD do that, but it seems poor planning on a strategic point of view. |
