I'd say also increase overall movement speeds, and allow leaning via buttons on the keyboard or tilting the DS3 or Move to better allow utilization of cover. |

And are you saying you play lying on your side or something? |

leaning should just be holding L1 when your near an object you can lean around like in crysis 2 and the other stuff should be automatic Well I was trying to suggest something that was a control function and didn't use any kind of hard mechanic, as I'm sure none of us want to turn this into a cover-based game. I just like the idea of having as many engagement options as possible, which also means having enough movement speed to get right into your enemy's face. |

The catch, well, you have to put your weapon away, along with a bit of stamina used up, since your hands are doing part of the job in crawling, so of course, one has to make the choice of mountain goating it old school style (with a weapon at hand in the event things turn ugly), or obtaining a fast climb at the expense of fighting capability. All a matter of modality.
It would be cool if they added two skills involved in it:
- Mountain Climbing, 5-8% increase in speed in climbing speed - Mountain insurance, 5-10% less fatigue wear during mountain climbing. I think a climbing and mantling mechanic similar to Crysis 2 would be pretty awesome, and that's sort of what you're proposing sounds like. |
