It would be cool If some suits were mixed. Like an assault scout or a logistics heavy. A Logistics assault, or a heavy Assault. Of course the main suit will still carry its former traits (scouts being fast and squishy) but with an added bonus like more armor, equipment slots, speed, and low/high power slots. This would add more game play styles.

Currently each major faction has their own suit, when they start to mix them up (caldari heavy etc.) then you will see difference in suits as you described. |

It looks more like you're seeking Hybrid suits.
While the idea is interesting I think the suits kind of work already as they are in their own roles (though some need tweaking, looking for bonuses to Scouts and Logis... though only the latter because I'm biased) and can be adjusted by skills and equipment to fall into a grey-zone between others (though I've seen heavy snipers we'll never see a scout running mass driver or HMGs obviously). |

sticking to eve lore i dont see why they wouldnt put some form of hybrid suit in
eve has pirate faction ships which require multi race skills
example macherial battleship in eve requires
minmatar battleship skill gellente battleship skill
so u need to train 2 difrent skill trees in order to use the ship
now impliment this to dust
lets go for an true sansha assault suit this would require
amarr assault drop suit lvl 5 caldari assault drop suit lvl 5
i thnk i got the race right for true sansha lol cant remember of top of my head but u get the idea
these pirate faction suits would have a skill bonus from both the caldari skill tree and from the amarr skill tree instead of the 1 bonus from 1 skill tree |

Yeah, for some reason alot of people think the suits we have now are what's going to be in final release lol, but on release there will be minmatar heavy, scout, assault, commander, pilot etc. Caldari assault, scout, heavy, commander,pilot etc. The only reason we don't have them now is because we are testing the core aspects of dust, aesthetics come later. The same will apply to the weapons and vehicles. |

While an hmg is impossible, one of my main suits is a scout with a mass driver. Did you mean to say forge gun? |
