DUST Search - It's a beta not a full release

Forum whining leading to nerfs for specific systems that are part of a greater whole not intact yet seems counterproductive in some cases. That said a natural evolution of balance is an ongoing project.

LAVs aren't too useful? They will be in a massive district. Scanning/profile dampening skills pointless? In a much larger area, they make a huge difference. Dropships destroying everyone? There will be plenty of things to take them down later (bet they'll be fighter-fodder), and the size of the districts will actually make them the preferred transport, instead of a gunship.

It took me a couple day to come around to this fact. These maps will be so massive, that players will be flagging these vehicles down for a ride. Instead of complaining about graphics and how crappy the UNFINISHED game play is; we should be looking high and low for glitches, bugs, and suggesting changes to mechanics that we think need improvements.

It will be quite the opposite of what you said. Equipement and character's skill are both more important than the player's skill. If it was about skill than everybody would run around in the same suit with the same weapon etc... This doesn't matter much if only the gameplay was smooth. Right now it's broken and glitchy, I really hope way stay in beta for several more months, so CCP has time to fix it. Dust has great potential, but potential is all it has so far...
