CCP, I'm sure you have seen other threads about this and i believe you may have even said you were looking into the issue, but this is now a serious problem. The older 5 letter map and the new industrial compound map containing a CRU and Turret must go. I understand that map testing in the beta is necessary but as it stands these maps simply cannot be played the large majority of the time. Myself and my corpmates leave the game any time we are given either of these two maps. 4 out 5 times you receive these maps, the lag is unplayable. At peak server time, they are completely unplayable 5 out of 5 games. I'm not sure what is causing the problem on these particular maps, but until the problem is found they should be removed from the rotation so we may actually be able to play the game relatively consistently. |

Agreed..
I've been in a few games with you guys and the lag was just mental on these maps.
I also have been having to leave the game completely because it was so bad. |

I heard somewhere the game doesn't clear the graphics buffer for some reason or another and as soon as you start getting these framerate issues, basically have to quit the game and restart your PS3.
You should be good to go for a while until the buffer is full again.
Just what I heard and by no means concrete evidence. |

Nope, I thought the same thing; or that maybe a memory leak was grinding gameplay to a halt. I've rebooted and got the new map immediately after and had the same problem.
Many times it occurs immediately before the 1st spawn. When you arrive at the initial spawn screen the overhead map lags. Sometimes the start is 'OK' and you hit a lag wall halfway through which leads to having to hit start a dozen times quickly, then L1 a dozen times then 'right dpad' a dozen times, then 'down dpad' a dozen times, then 'x' on leave game a dozen times, then 'x' to confirm leaving battle a dozen times in order to actually leave the game. All the while your mic is cutting out majorly and your teammates mic is cutting out. Unfortunately, unlike a legitimate DC, when you actually choose to leave game you do not get your suits back. This leads me to simply leave the game immediately any time i receive those lag maps.
I don't know if it's due to a circulation of maps or not, but many times I receive that same map many times in a row after leaving. Even after waiting a little while for that game to possibly fill up so i can be given a different game. I've even switched to Ambush and still received that damn new industrial complex which, of course, lags even in Ambush. This has left me unable to get into a decent battle for more than an hour at times. Rebooting the system and restarting my modem/router does not seem to correct the issue. Other times i will remain in the battle and just sit in the MCC the entire time with my overhead map up just marking objectives and leading my squad from afar. Obviously, this is not optimal.
I don't know what is causing the issue, but i'm sure CCP does. It's a known and widespread issue. I've not come across one person that has not had frequent issues on those maps. It makes the game frustratingly unplayable for extended periods of time and the maps should simply be removed from rotation until they are fixed. |

same issue here tried everything from playing on different ps3's to shutting down the system completely (complete system power down removing plug for 1 min) and then plugging back in. Multiple uninstalls reinstalls just dont fix it. It seems to be server side, not client side though. Servers that unstable(?) |

I had a thread on this too....I back out as soon as I notice its a 5-letter map. And in one match it was happening on the 3-letter map. it becomes too choppy to be playable. |

It's generally any 5 letter map and additionally the new center compound they added with Codex. Those maps will have significant lag regardless of the time of day, (i.e. not peak server time) which points to an actual problem with the maps and/or servers, not just an overloaded server. |
