being fully automatic, look like its going back to being a sniper, CCP what in god name were you thinking, you had a perfect balance to the AUR weapons with the tac rifle, I had the tac rifle and I still got killed by aur weapons cause they were one tier above me. :U It was not a bad gun, it was actually correct. |

It was broken and fixed now, not destroyed.
AUR warriors are different topic. That's people being bad with guns needing more damage without the commitment. |

Its fixed dont complain, it didnt serve a purpose being like a normal AR with higher damage, now it has its original purpose which was to be -tactical-. If you dont like that style of gun, then fair enough, but dont slate the fixing because now you dont get kills on it. |

That gun was broken. That was a bug. It was not a feature. |

I've yet to use it since they "fixed" it, recall half the time it refused to fire so it was definately bugged. Still if it is Fully Automatic, that wouldn't really be a good fix.
My concept of a Tactical Rifle would be one that fires in Burst Mode, akin to the Battle Rifle or DMR in Halo; or Famas, KH2002 in Battlefield.
This said it would be nice if we could choose the Fire Mode of our Assault Rifles. So we could switch between Single Shot, 3-Round Burst and Fully Automatic... then the differences between the guns could be the Ammunition they use and Rate-of-Fire.
I mean as it stands the weapons are well fairly basic in their differences (literally being Stats) especially when compared to other First Person Shooters, while EVE itself often the ammunition you use can make a huge impact on an engagement.
Yes, I know adding Ammo might confuse most FPS players... blah blah, but being able to choose how much ammo you take in to a fight and such (with extra being more weight so you move slower) with Ammo that covers Short-Range (More Damage), Mid-Range (Balanced) or Long-Range (Low Damage).
It is the same with the Rate-of-Fire, this should be a direct Trade-off with Weapon Damage Multiplier. This way the different makes can be differenciated by the Ammo they can use; Ammo Capacity, RoF over Damage, Kickback.
Would also love to see upgradeable components, such-as different Sights, Foregrips, Laser Sight, Tripod, etc... Sure these guys/gals are custom bread marines who are strong blah blah blah ... but no reason not to add real variety and reasons to have some proper choice past cookie cutter weaponry. |

Previously it was single trigger pull, single shot(semi auto). This build broke the standard tier TAR and made it full auto. The hotfix repaired it. The OP is lamenting the repair. I hope this clears up and misconceptions. |

I'm yet to try out the new version, but it was one of my favorite weapons before. It wasn't optimal for any range, but it was useful at all of them, and great for Logi's with no sidearm slot. Hope it's still fun now... |
