I do just fine sniping, never negative, usually 1 maybe 2 deaths a game. Usually in double digits for kills, so no Im not angry. I simply noticed something about hit detection, and asked other people what they thought. I do believe I said I wanted other snipers input, not all the non aiming spray and pray AR users.
And as for dumbing the game down, if they dumb the game down anymore it won't be a game, there is no thought required or skill required for this game. Get a few people together, run in group, spray walls of bullets at people, win. That isn't thought, it isn't tactical, it's blob warfare.
Once again people seem to forget that snipers should be feared on a battlefield. You don't hear big stories about the ****** with an M16. You hear stories about the sniper that took out a whole squad (that's 14 people in RL) by himself from his perch. Guess that makes the sniper non skilled and chicken? I apologize some people want to do more than run around with an AR all the time. Last I checked this game was supposed to have options, every option but AR gets nerfed to the ground, from what Ive seen, or at least whined about.
So keep talking **** if you'd like, somewhere in all these posts I might can get a few decent answers from some people who actuallly aim at stuff, and realize that accuracy is a part of shooting. Sorry, wasn't talking to you man, and yes there are still issues with hit detection I have experienced everything you mentioned here since last build. If you want to actually do some considerable damage with the sniper this build you will have to max out proficiency in the sniper. Also, I haven't quite confirmed it yet but light weapons sharpshooter seems to give you more accurate shots at long range.
There are still issues that skills won't fix usually when you can't hit someone at a distance (mainly scouts) you will have to aim around them, alot of the times you will have to hit the tip of their back, or in some cases you will have to find that sweet spot were the recticle turns blue as you mentioned before. Also alot of the times when you see their chest and head over a rock or hill and can't them, sometimes this is because you see them as though they are standing but in actuality they are crouching so you will have to aim lower were the tip of their head should be. This doesn't always work though and you actually end up hitting the rocks in front of them.
Sorry this is the only advice I can offer atm. I still have some difficulties with this bug but I hope what I said helps. |
