Ok there is a lobby. In the old old old build this lobby had to fill up before the match started. Then once in game if a team has leavers, well then that's their problem.
Ok so seriously, stop putting me in matches where half of the losing team has left the match. And whats wrong with adding a surrender vote system?
The issue with adding random players into ongoing matches is that obviously the losing side is the one with people leaving. So you only join games where you are losing. This is dumb, please fix. Sorry i wasn't more polite :/ |

The matchmaking in general probably needs a shake up. We had 3 new characters and 1 who hit the cap last week. We got matched against 4 members of SyN. It was a bloodbath. I think they killed about 20 of us before we got 1 of them.
Morale of this story? Matchmaking is still needs work. And SyN love the tac rifle :P I don't blame them. |

Yes, we are going to look into not putting you in matches that are about to end. As for matchmaking, we do have a system for matching players but we don't have a lot of players online to really make this effective. As we expand the beta you should see an improvement in matchmaking quality.

Could this issue also be due to players quitting before they lose so their character and/or corp doesn't get a loss? I wouldn't ask but there's been more than a few times I've joined a game with less than 5 minutes left where there's several team roster spots open on the losing team I just joined. |

I have been thrown into about 75 matches, when I didn't even get to spawn in once, not 1 of them was a victory, because of that I have watched my win to loss ratio drop like a stone and I didn't even have anything to do with it.
But at the same time, who hasn't been shooting the enemy only to get that hiccup and no shot damage, followed quickly by the you have been kicked out of the match back to the merc quarters....funny how it is usually a good game.
On my full game losses I am often asking myself, where is the rest of the team? Normally around the half-way point more enemies join and then more friendlies and then the rats jump ship.
Yeah still waiting to see the tactical assault rifle to get corrected....it's amazing how many people are using it |

In sc2 2v2 or 4v4 matches, they have two different pools of players they put into matches.
1 pool is people who are not in a party.
the other pool is for players who are in a party and thus will be working together. Obviously in an rts the disadvantage of being a random team versus a team of four people siting in the same room with a plan is maybe a bit more obvious. But I feel the same goes for dust. Put players in premade squads into matches with only other people who are in premade squads. If some squads have less than 4 players, like 3, that's ok, obviously they must be pretty good going out with just 3 players.
Point is, people who are just truning on their ps3 for a quick match, and people who are squading up and discussing tactics before a fight, when using the quick battle system should not be playing in the same matches.
Maybe let players who are solo fill in the cracks of the squad players? Since they will be on a good team at least? But don't stick squads into matches full of people who just want a quick game of dust. it's a blood bath. I for one want to fight other organized teams so I can have some challenge. |

This is especially painful with the new isk payment system. I just joined a team that couldn't hold a flag (I wasn't able to help much either) and got 16k isk for the whole mess. Made me not want to play.
It's just as bad joining a team that is so good you can't find anything to do/kill. |

Would love to know if this is indeed what happens when you quit before you lose.
For example, in Starcraft2, if you quit and your team loses you also lose. If your team wins, I believe you win (unless you leave too many games). Obviously it's a bit of a different genre, but the option is still viable here. |

If you give me beta keys I could bring in some players, give me a isk/aurum reward if they purchase a merc pack and i will get more. |

I'm not sure that this has been mentioned, but it's not just an issue with games already in progress. I've been placed into games multiple times in a row that nobody has even scored a kill and the game timer is at zero with 80 clones left both sides. The game basically ends as soon as anybody is killed. This needs looking at more than being placed into matches that are about to end imo. At least you get chance to shoot someone with 2mins left on the clock.
As for matchmaking, I'd like to believe that it's going to be possible as quite a few friends have mentioned how they don't play due to it not working.
I personally believe there's gonna be massive issues in this department down the line. There's that many skills in this game that your never gonna truly balance one player against another unless they have the exact same skill set, which is pretty doubtful. Couple that with the fact they may be in a mixed group of vets and noobies and the system is instantly broken before it's started.
I hope I'm wrong and there's a masterplan to solve this. Frankly I'd not like to be the one designing it tbh. |

Or the only person in a skirmish. Yesterday had a full day of getting into a game with 1 person. Asked him where he was from and it turns out Asia. Today I seem to be grouped with the american players. Please ccp lock me to the european group.
Don't know if its my imagination but games run much better for me when I'm grouped with the european players. Asia and american players and I get screen jitter which must be my connection struggling.
Another weird thing is when I grouped with an american and was leader, I was dragging him to the european players and yet he was saying the game never felt so smooth?

haha cause nobody plays this abomination of a beta. Bring back the Server list and let people choose their maps at the very least until you can finally get enough players to properly test matchmaking (which i thought was tested in precursor) |
