I'll be honest- I pretty much refuse to get into an LAV unless I'm the driver or it's got a Missile Turret, because it's still almost impossible to kill anyone in those things unless you run them over (which I'm actually starting to get good at, I'm ashamed to say). The blaster turret is- dare I say it- too accurate. That combined with the slow turn rate of the turret makes it incredibly difficult to get more than one or two shots in on somebody.
Granted, I'm used to playing BF3- a very polished and finished game- but I thought this was an issue that's been around for a while now. |

Yes, i have alot of fun running over people with LAV nowadays, why just yesterday i took out 5dudes in a bunch, just ran'em all over =) |

why are you comparing BF 3 to a company that has never built an FPS before?
not giving CCP free pass on a lot of this nonsense because they most likely hired people who quit EAs 'awesome' business practices and other people who know what they are doing.
also i hate LAVs, the fact they can see scout suits with miniscule profile and are also stealthier than a scout is completely ridiculous. |

I am not disappointed. I don't drive and rarely hitch a ride but LAVs are by far the best targets for the starter anti armor fitting. |

 Yes, very true but I was hoping they'd be a bit more than just target practice for Milita SLs.

I did mention the fact that BF3 is a polished and finished product in the OP... I don't expect Dust to be like this now, or even that it's "imperative" or anything- I'm just trying to get the message out there.
I feel like this topic missed its mark. I'm trying to see whether people are having success with the LAV as a weapons/transport platform beyond running people over. |
