Constant repairing makes it reduce or stop giving you points until you stop for just as much time as you repaired for. so if someone really wants to help the team they will repair anyways even if they are getting low points or none (but if they are using it right they will not be repairing so much as to lower the points) because they want their team to stay alive to help them kill, because that is how real B.A. players get points killing and player NOT BOOSTING. |

Better to simply remove point gain while in the red zone. They are War Points after all and staying in the safe zone shouldn't award them. Any/all nerfs directly to Repair Tool gain/awards will harm the legit LogiBros more than the farmer/boosters, making an already difficult WP award system (the repper/injector system needs a revamp) even more burdensome to Merc's attempting to provide actual battlefield support. |

Simplest idea to fix it is to only gain WP from the fixing of enemy induced damage. Environmental damage can be fixed but no WP, SP or ISK from doing so.
Same should apply to friendly fire damage, when that gets turned on. |

I'm just going to continue saying what I usually say in such threads: Removing WP in the redzone doesn't work. A redlined team would simply log out instead of continuing to fight, if they don't get WP for doing it. Distinguishing between different damages is too complicated to ever be implemented, mainly due to memory limitations in the PS3. The real solution is as follows: reduce SP gain from individual actions (kills, assists, hacks, etc) drastically across the board. By a factor of 5 or even 10. Then add a considerable SP bonus for the winning team. Winning the match would finally matter and people would start working as a team, especially if they want to maximize their SP gain. It would still not help about griefers (people who do this not to gain SP, but to annoy other players), but that is true for all mentioned solutions. |
