Three rules. You implement these three rules and fix that glitch that's let's people fall under the map to rep in peace and you will fix the repping issue for good.
1. ANY VEHICLE THAT TAKES MORE THAN A SET AMOUNT OF DAMAGE THAT'S NOT FROM AN ENEMY WITHOUT TAKING ANY ENEMY DAMAGE AUTO DESTRUCTS IN A HUGE EXPLOSION THAT AUTOMATICALLY KILLS ALL PLAYERS IN A 20 METER RADIUS DUE TO BUILT UP SHIELD POWER SOURCE DAMAGE FROM THE SELF INFLICTED IMPACTS. ALL PLAYERS CAUGHT IN THE BLAST LOOSE ALL WP/SP/ISK GAINED IN THAT BATTLE AND ARE IMMEDIATELY KICKED AND GIVEN A 20 MINUTE PENALTY BEFORE THEY CAN TRY TO JOIN ANOTHER MATCH.
2. ANY TEAM WHO DOES MORE THAN A GIVEN AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO ALLY VEHICLES CAN NO LONGER CALL IN VEHICLES FOR THAT MATCH AND IT IS POSTED FOR ALL TO SEE ON THE AFTER BATTLE REPORT THE CHARACTER WHO LOST THE TEAM THAT ABILITY. (This prevents another player from calling in a vehicle for the group who is repping)
3. ADD AN OPTION TO THE CHAT MENU THAT LETS YOU REPORT FARMING ACTIVITY AND IDENTIFY THAT PLAYER TO A MODERATOR WHO CAN TAKE A LOOK AND DETERMINE THE VALIDITY OF THE CLAIM, THEN THE MODERATOR CAN KICK AND PENALIZE THAT PLAYER.
Put in these rules, and people will quickly learn to stop repping. If you damage 1 vehicle too much you loose all the repair farming you've done in that match when it explodes and kills all of you, as well as kicking you and preventing you from joining another match for 20 minutes. And I've seen whole matches go by where my team didn't use a single vehicle and we dominated the other team who was rolling in tanks and LAV's, so loosing the ability for the whole team isn't a death sentence, but it is a disadvantage.
After the first few times of loosing their team the ability to call in vehicles, no one will try it. Those who do keep trying will get reported by teammates who don't want to loose the ability to use vehicles, and people will start to know who to watch for. No one will want to be known as the one who keeps loosing their team the ability to call in vehicles.
Basically: Penalties prevent over repping a vehicle Even if an entire team is in on the cheating, it won't get far since vehicles are cut off after a set amount of damage Potential penalties make team watch for suspicious behavior and report it
Well?

Please don't use all caps. There is bold, italics, underlining if you want to place more emphasis on some words or sentences. All caps is just annoying.
If the system can differentiate between enemy and non-enemy damage, it would be easier to just make people not get points for repairing vehicles hurt by non-enemy damage. |

It would, but in some cases that's not helpful. When you are trying to get away from a tank in a LAV and you go over a large drop, you can take considerable damage. Logistics people and repair tool users should not have to miss out on WP just because of that. Especially the logistics people, since the main source of WP for them is repairs, healing, and revives. They need all the help they can get at the moment, so why punish them because people are abusing the system?
EDIT: Sorry, had a hangover and didn't feel up to trying to capitalize things properly, and it bugs me even more when the beginnings of sentences aren't capitalized. The bit not in caps I wrote later, I copied and pasted in the caps part because I didn't want to re-type it |

TMC;DR Too Much Caps; Didn't Read (Trying to read so much capital letters hurts my eyes )
Velvet Overkill wrote:As for SP farming, people can get points for damaging a friendly vehicle constantly and repairing it for endless points. Also people can damage each other's vehicles and not get penalized then repair each other's vehicles for group SP farming. No WP should be awarded for repairing a vehicle not damaged by enemies and damaging someone else's vehicle in high sec with collision damage should have some kind of penalty. I wrote that on the Official Codex feedback thread |
