I've seen sniper teams in ambush really mop up, but you're completely right about skirmish. Too many snipers make it impossible to hold objectives unless they're the kind of sniper who moves in with their backup weapon to help take the objective then picks off other snipers from where they are.

Agreed. However, that type of class I think of as Recon as they are prepared for, and participate in close quarters combat. I have much respect for those players since they are being versatile. But I've always associated the term "Sniper" as being a long range shooter who hangs back and spots for the team as well as taking pot shots at the enemy. The key is not to gain too much attention to your position, so a Sniper with high kills is usually wiped out quickly unless he has a vehicle at his disposal to move after a few kills. Either way, more than 2 of them in an objective based match is pointless and unproductive.
