Why is this not already in? It takes twice as long to cancel an enemy hack and you get no WP. This encourages you to wait until the enemy caps it THEN hack it back for the WP especially now that you can't spawn into a point that is being hacked. |

I agree. Nothing I hate worse being a sniper is to clear off the hackers and then watch one of our guys stand there for the control point to switch before rehacking it. In close matches those few seconds when it is switched can make the difference between winning and losing a match. |

As a proponent of proportional reward I would suggest a bonus to stopping a cap as quickly as possible. If you get 100 for capping it and 100 when it completes I'd give (for example) 100 plus a bonus for stopping the cap. Quicker you stop it the higher the bonus. Stop it in the first second -- 200 points. Stop it in the last second -- 100 points.
It would be possible for cooperating players on opposing teams to abuse that kind of system but that's true of almost all the game mechanics. |

Yes. This needs to happen. It's frustrating that letting the point cap will actually end up benefiting an individual more than actually holding onto the thing. |

He is totally right. It is frustrating to get nothing from preventing an enemy player for getting +100 WPs.

agreed....
i think the hack system should be
+10 points for starting hack +25 for Assist +100 for completed hack
+15 for stopping enemy hack
i have seen so many friendlies sat waiting for a hack to finish so they can reclaim the hacked installation it's silly.
Please Devs take note of this thread, Most of the Skirm community would like this or something similar implemented. |
