just to provide a little more background on this issue:
Mitani is/was the Intelligence Director for Goons, part of his 'job' is to encourage players to turn double agent, providing password access to Corp websites, which are then scanned and saved offsite and monitored regularly.
"there is no information that is not power"
internal personality clashes, power struggles and drama are opened up for manipulation.
Goonswarm have in the past tracked players by their ingame portrait, to photo publishing sites or the like, such as myspace, and there by gained unsavory amounts of information to add to "profiles" that are developed for future use in griefing or for turning a player against their Corp as a double agent or mole.
'intel' is power to those with the expertise in using it.
... just a heads up, pre-tears and screaming fits, nothing against Goons personally, just a nod to their evil ways :P |

Yes we have history and yes we have a reputation but for now, i want to push DUST and i want it to work and for that it needs news coverage and to get peoples interests.
If you're all going to be too :tinfoil: to help then you're not helping the community either and right now that's what its about for me.
Goons in Dust and EVE are being run as separate corps too. We don't share anything right now and there will be a news announcement about that shortly.
I wasn't trying to stuff anything up CW,
I have a very begrudged respect for Goons, I think that Goons have taken Corp war to an artful extreme. However, I do not think it fair that the very history you acknowledge, should bear no weight. To anyone following along, just create a new email account if you need to be wary, DUST will need some strong Corps, and here's hoping to some good battles.
Play Fair and all the warnings are false.
