CCP...Are you guys planning on developing a way to turn AUR into real cash??
If not, why not allow some of the corp battles to have AUR contracts......and then a corp can accrue AUR and sell them on the market.
It can still be a win-win because although players will be purchasing AUR from other corps, people will still have to buy them because SOMEONE has to lose and will have to purchase more AUR in order to compete. Not to mention, that once that 30-day booster runs out, people will have to purchase more AUR if they want skill boosters. Because 7000 AUR for 7 days isn't going to last forever. Plus, people will still buy guns, decorations, etc with AUR so it wouldn't circulate endlessly in the game if we were allowed to sell AUR.
I think this would be an awesome thing to do.....you will get much gamers and clans in the game because I don't think there are much, if any, games that will allow you to earn some cash from your video games. |

When you say money...are you talking about dollars or ISK? If dollars, f*ck that, we don't need the kind of audience that would bring. If ISK, then I'm pretty sure they already mentioned that will be a future update. |

I would be absolutely, totally, astonished if CCP were to allow this.
And if they did, the only people who would make any significant money out of it would be sweat-shop bosses overseeing rooms of nappy-wearing farmers in 3rd world countries. |

Noone would be able to pay their mortgage or anything like that with it. Matches can have a cap of 10,000 AUR or something. And considering $2 will get you 4000.....
It could be enough to fund a website a month or maybe purchase a game for someone who may not have enough, etc. Considering that a corp may have a lot of members, it can be something like a warchest, if you will, for your clan as a whole. |

Aur items will be resellable for isk. So,the corp could buy aur items with it's isk from the resellers.
Maybe if a relative value of items, isk, and aur was tracked(reset each day by average price maybe) a corp could pay it's match collateral in x isk value of isk, items, and aur? This would make payouts more random to winner, as they wouldn't know what the other side payed collateral in. |

Here is one perfect reason why you will never EVER be legally allowed to turn either ISK or AUR into real money ($, -ú or Gé¼, whatever).
If that was possible, players could be (real life) taxed for their in game earnings. |

You aren't forced to report earnings lower than a $1000 a year |

In EvE, 1 Plex = 4000 Aurum. 4000 AUR = $20.00. 1 Plex can be sold for roughly 500 million ISK. Sir, they're already ahead of you. |

No they won't help you launder drug money with gambling in an online shooter

That depends on the country you live in. The World is NOT the US. (Thank goodness for that) |

In EVE 1 PLEX = 3500 AUR 1 PLEX = 594 million ISK (Current in Jita as of 1 hour ago)
In The EVE Online store 1 PLEX = ($/Gé¼) 19.95. (which really SUCKS! Why must EU pay more than the US?)
If you buy GTC's and convert those, you get 2 PLEX for $34.95. That is $17.48 per PLEX. |

I see no problem gambling AUR, it's in game currency and as such can do with it as I will. Now converting AUR back to real money no that isn't right and is probably illegal in most places. But when cash is turned to AUR, it stays AUR and only things you can buy with AUR are CCP online goods. |

Theres a pretty simple solution for this, and CCP did it once in the past and said the response was so overwhelming that they might do it again.
They were offering PLEX (time cards, purchasable by ISK) for graphics cards (nVidia GTX560 specifically). They sold out in less than 10 minutes!
So CCP could probably offer the same deal for ISK/PLEX for other hardware, such as Playstation Move packs or something. |

are you serious? Surely you can think of better ways to pay for your corp site and coms? That is afterall what you said it would be benificial to. there are actually several groups that support those features for corps for a sum of isk monthly, which can be earned free.. and if it is for other reasons.. well.. same thing, there are much better and easier ways to make a few bucks. I read recently that a few games are trying this approach to semi counter rmt, and I think it has to be the most ludicrous idea ever. |
