So, here's my feedback for the current build, and the game overall ATM.
*Militia BPO's cost AUR now, WTF! Seriously, Pay To Win much?! That combined with the starting Militia gear being limited in Qty as well is just plain ridiculous. *Assault Rifles, still don't feel right while using them *Spray and Pray; this isn't skill, it's just you bouncing around and doesn't make for an enjoyable game. It's like Quake on crack. *What's with the 'Precision Strikes' every 30 seconds. Not exaggerating, happened four times in a row, almost one after another. *There is no noticeable difference between wearing the Heavy Dropsuits compared to the Assault Dropsuits, other than a reduction in speed. Seriously, even the Milita version stats read at around 600 HP, compared to an Assaults 200. Yet it seems to make little difference in game play. *Starting Skills; Seems very limited, compared to what a starting EVE newbie begins with *Maps are Barren, very little detail and no cover (or ability to use cover, really) *ISK and Skill point rewards seem very, very low when compared to the cost of skills.
A lot of my negative opinion comes down to how it FEELS while playing the game. And it just doesn't feel right to me, atm. I play HALO, in all its forms, and I also play BF3. Both those game are very different play-wise, yet they feel RIght while playing. DUST doesn't have that at all, IMO. |

Militia BPOs sold for AUR isn't pay to win. You can buy militia stuff for ISK very cheaply. You do not have an advantage if you having a militia BPO, you simply have a slightly larger wallet if you happen to use a lot of militia stuff. Pay to win means you pay AUR and get an actual advantage in a fight, like a gun that is better than any non-AUR gun or whatever. Infinite militia gear is still just militia gear.
The heavy dropsuit has over 2x the shields/armor of the assault suit. If you can't tell the difference, well, what is there to say? You're obviously wrong in implying there isn't a difference though. I guess maybe you felt that way for some reason, but heavies clearly live much longer than assault suits.
Some areas of some maps are open. Some areas are very built-up. That one skirmish map is entirely industrial structures and roadways with very little open ground at all. So I also disagree that the maps are barren with very little detail and no cover. |
