does anyone know if you get more WP for killing a designated target set by your squad leader? i got 25+ after killing a guy that was set as a target.

in case of confusion. instead of the normal 50 WP, i got 75 WP instead.

Yep, at least I recall it worked that way when I did it. It's just so awkward a command to give. You can get the same bonus with a defense order on a location or person. Now, for snipers, however, I suppose you could mark a target for them and have them kill them at range for the bonus. Hmm. Gonna have to play with this idea.

I've read multiple times you don't get bonus points if you set a person as squad target? Does that mean you only get bonus points for killing the actual target person, but not for killing the guy next to him?

Yep, which is why a rally point or a defend order currently works better. I feel like they need to make attack orders encompass an area like the other orders do. Right now it's a rarely useful order. I give it on vehicle to highlight them to my squad for AV purposes, but otherwise neglect the command.
