Complaining about things like Orbital strike, that just need tiny tweaks, or really, ANYTHING in a beta....
is like looking over a cooks shoulder:
"ARE YOU SURE YOU SHOULD PUT THAT MANY ONIONS IN THE SOUP? I NEVER SEE THAT MANY ONIONS IN MY SOUP!"
Trust the cook. Those onions will cook down, you won't taste only onions. When did you become a cook/game developer anyway to know so much? Maybe mention "Hey I don';t like a lot of onions in my soup" and he will make it happen.
I think I'm just hungry. Breakfast time.

Yeah but at the moment its more like this:
CCP: "here's the onion soup enjoy its got 3 onions yum."
Customer: "Damn thats too many onions can i have it with less onions"
CCP: "heres the onion soup this time we improved it using 4 onions"
Customer: " Dont think your getting this its TOO many onions."
CCP: "We found the issue with the soup, heres the improved one it has 5 RED onions."
And so on |

If you were in a professional chefs kitchen giving him your opinion of every move he made while he was working on a series of complicated dishes, you would get turned into sausage.
Stay the course, keep tightening up the machinery, disregard the fluff and whiners.
Along the way things may have to get explored, not going to work out in all cases, but its all part of the process of testing.
None of this is carved in stone, but I hope the devs have the ability to shrug off most of the bad posting that comes from the alledged 'testers' and not let the bad idea generators in here fingerkitten this game with their meddling. |

From what I can tell the most important attribute in a CCP dev must be the ability to sift through all the rage and whining in the forums to find the constructive criticism, and to gauge what the view of the majority of the player-base is.
For a long time the Eve devs took the easy way out and ignored the forums, as it was all negative, harsh and downright rude.
They are now trying to take what they can from them, but it can't be easy to pour your soul into creating something and then come here and read the **** that gets posted about it.
I bet they have a flowchart somewhere for telling new devs how to read forum posts. "1) ignore any post in all caps, 2) ignore any post with more than 1 exclamation mark" etc.
