I would love to see CCP be more mindful and interactive in the sense that they post more information here properly. Even starting a thread once a week to see how people feel and what issues should be looked into.
if you haven't worked it out yet posting info here would constrain them from future bodge fixes and only have players asking why they didnt actually fix the underlying problems not just quickfix it and break 10 other things or compromise on gameplay and game quality. don't forget they invented "working as intended" |

As for your opinion on whether or not it would hinder progress I say progress is being hinder by not taking the time to connect properly with your testers. Opening a timed thread to ask how things are going in-game and what issues you are having, or concerns is not going to hinder the game at all. They open it for twenty-four hours and close it. Review it and see what issues seem appropriate or of actual concern. Thank testers, and have a nice day. I bet the forums and players would be a lot happier. You know.. Instead of using a glorified twitter feed to mention you are on break, or going to use the rest room.
i agree with you but isnt that what bug reports are for? saves them the hastle of actually gathering the info from the thread, more bug reports on a certain problem quicker bug gets fixed?
too much of a downside for them as they seem to like using fixes that compromise game quality, look at how they used strafing to fix bullet reg. that's why they post things on IRC and get players to bring the info here. go back and serach the threads for second hand info from IRC and see actually how much of it was implemented with this build. |

At lvl 1 you would strafe and move backwards a little slower than now, and at lvl 5 you would be strafing and moving backwards as fast as you could in the last build. Have it so in lower levels their is a slight delay from strafing left then right because of momentum and overcoming it but in the higher levels you have trained for proper footing and mass management of your clone.
Its not like some fresh of the street guy could out maneuver a veteran Football or Soccer athlete.
good/bad? i'd put all my SP into it if this existed Which would be fine because it is important to you, but for say a dedicated tanker or pilot they wouldn't need something like this. just so long as the movement speed was not greater than the hit detection lol
put back the skillpoint gain to closer than it was last build and have people make more than one char.
cross all you like i gave you money over paypal before i knew the bad i was doing. |
