We all hate it when people spam militia LAV's. My solution to this would be to remove the free LAV and give them a damage reduction. This would stop people from having 6 LAV's camping at a base and firing rockets at everyone. |

Easy solution ... spawn the FREE AV suit and farm some WP :) |

Or AV grenades. Or HMG's, seen them rip through the free LAV's this build. Sustained fire of any kind will take them down fast. |

As even militia dropsuits cost ISKs now, I think militia LAV is going to cost some ISKs as well. |

Your "base" militia suit costs nothing. (The role you chose, you get a BPO for that suit.) So that argument is silly.
So... if everyone can summon a free vehicle, why are you complaining about it when you yourself can... summon... a free vehicle? Have the whole team do it? Even just get one and zip past them to thrown down a Spawn Beacon somewhere else?
Alternatively, yes, Forge guns and advanced Swarm Launchers will usually one-shot the free LAV's with no problems. I should know, that's what usually pops mine. A pair of AV grenades work too, but that requires the foe to be dumb enough to sit in throwing range (again, something I do now and then when I slip up and need to get killed in order to re-learn that lesson).
Yet to encounter an HMG threat, though Veigar is right... a group of guys with AR's will force the LAV pilot to disengage. If they are smart enough to be on the opposite side of a ridge, there's not much the LAV guy can do. |
