Good job on the intro as well CCP, it makes me feel like a bad ass! Whether I am or not is irrelevant.
Agreed, better graphics, sweet opening movie scene.
It's not being a fanboy, if you like something the devs have done. Its a show of thanks to peoples hard work. |

It's not being a fanboy, if you like something the devs have done. Its a show of thanks to peoples hard work. Finally someone who is reasonable around here?! Whoa! -- Mind is officially blown. -- No, but seriously I'm glad to see someone who understands what a "crutch" that whole "fanboy" argument truly is. I swear every build it's the samething around here; the rad roaches crawl out of the wood work, and the forums for a week degenerate into a viscous bile of seething hatred lacking even basic rational, or thought. Essentially a mindless instinctual lifeforms with a sole purpose of spewing hatred and multiplying out of the carcasses of those it renders and cuts a swathe from. Taking the whole my way or the highway approach to a new extreme. A week where suddenly "opinions" become facts, and the circle jerking from a few specific groups around here almost comes off as an orgy pornographic video -- from the seventies. It's pathetic. Glad to see some still around here with their head on straight.
Some people want to help the community (see previous posts and threads) some players just want to repair a broken ship (see Warriors), I was going to say watch the world burn but it does apply to Dust. |

Oh no, I understand. I've even tried to explain the differences in approach from both sides, but the truth is that neither side of the majority will ever listen. Both sides may want what is best for the game, but going about it like a rampaging brat is not the way to properly voice concerns of opinions. Crying -- "fanboy" -- is not a proper way to argue your concerns, and not helping either are those whom are being overly sensitive to criticism about the flaws of the game. However as I said going around like a rampaging brat does nothing. Except drive the real players away who are trying to help the game, but want nothing to do with the petty b.s. and shenanigans that these forums produce. I'm done with high school, and have been for years. I do not need this school or facebook drama that some are turning this into.
I'm still here fighting the good fight, but seriously some people around here need a reality check.
Sir, you are my new favorite forum poster
There is so many types of posters, but you can tell by what they post, how old they are, how many games they have played.
I see posts like "CCP you suck" because you changed one thing, with often in it " Fanboys, Eve Tard's, MAG players, COD, BF..etc. you are all to blame for my problems" they blame the players that they know nothing about.
If CCP does a change and someone, anyone likes it you get called a Fanboy, if you don't like what CCP did you get told "HTFU" "Adapt or Die", again this is the common response by children.
Can you see a 30+ yr old saying this? I don't I see 16 yr old brats (See Regenum Dei) who think that just because they have a good K/D that entitles them to be the superior voice in the forums.
Even in other threads, Regenum, stated I posted 35 times in the thread, threads are conversations in forums, a grown up would understand this, a child sees it as bumping a thread.
Take it from players who have had years in forums, good threads have good conversations in them, players reply back and forth in discussion. Players like Reg seem to think once they post, thats the end of the conversation. Again a childs point of view. |
