Does this mean that we will at some point be able to go all Mortal Kombat on reddots when we run out of ammo?
Please say yes.
EDIT: I am NOT saying that CCP should turn the game into a Mortal Kombat/Streetfighter style fighting game. All I am asking is if it will be at some point in the future a possibility for Commando style scouts as well as anyone who is dumb enough to run out of ammo despite the existence of Nanohives and Resupply points. |

Yeah, for now it is, but if you ask me, I think that pure brawling would be the natural progression for that particular skill.
Plus, do you really think that bio-engineered supersoldiers wouldn't be all about cracking some skulls with their dropsuit gloved hands? |

See, when you say that, I hear "No, you can't have options in my FPS"
I am not saying that guns should be abandoned or ignored. I am saying that "Hand to Hand Combat" as a skill, opens up new possibilities for us.
As of right now, all we have for Melee is the Nova knife, I would hope that we would be getting more options at some point. Options like Expandable Batons, Garrotes and Handheld Stunguns just for three more.
Beyond that, I would also hope that at some point we would be able to have real brawling options; being able to snatch that GEK straight out of your hands cause you weren't paying enough attention to notice me creeping up on you; ninja-ing up behind that enemy scout and breaking his neck like a twig; strike a few times from surprise and then tossing your adversary off the ledge (after disarming them of course).
Options, that is the key word in my train of thought, options. |
