I don't know where to start.
Ok well this build started off fine but slowly started to go downhill. I like how the laser guns work and i enjoy the how well they have made a lot of things user friendly. But there are some things that might keep me from playing this game.
After reading STB DEADPOOL5241 EV's post about gun game types ( https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=38832&find=unread ) i can understand that CCP needs to have a balance between a tactical shooter and a straf shooter. Last build was fine IMO because it required skill to kill players. Now, since the strafing speed has been seriously reduced, all it takes to win a gunfight is who has the better gear/who gets the first shot off. Last build i was able to easily win 2v1s but now its almost impossible. But, i know that there has to be a balance to cater to both groups. These are more problems i'm encountering and my fixes to them...
Problem: Strafing is too slow. Fix: Increase the speed by a small margin or just return it to the way it was b4 since hit detection has been fixed.
Problem: Fused Locus Grenades (detonate on impact). As long as these thing are in-game i will continue to complain about them because they are cheap as ****. Fix: Take it out of the game because we don't need it. I tired of trying to 1v1 someone who just throws them for a free kill. Or simply lower the amount to one and decrease restock time on it.
Problem: Hitting invisible obstacles while running on a slanted plane. When im trying to have a gunfight i freeze in place sometimes because it seems as tho something is in my way when there is nothing around. Fix: i have no clue, but this is very serious.
Problem: Having the ability to run directly through A,B,C objectives and hide inside the center platform. I have done this in different games and it allows me to glitch inside the middle of say objective C and hide in there till someone comes to hack. It gives me the opportunity to be protected and sneak out while someone is hacking and shoot them in the face (try it on the jagged edge map with either A,B,C). Fix: Patch up the walls with duct tape or something
Problem: Running over someone while driving a LAV causes me to completely stop in place like i hit a brick wall Fix: Give infantry weight loss pills
Problem: I have had a huge issues with SP gain. I not playing currently because even tho im using a SP booster, im only getting about 1k SP a game now. Now b4 you say hmm maybe im not doing great go check the leaderboards. I should be top 20 if not first page, i know how to play. If the reset on SP happens every tuesday and im only getting 1k SP a match now, how do you expect me to keep playing. Its really a waste of time. Also it seems that my gain keeps getting lower and lower. I have tried everything including giving squad orders and calling in 5 OBs a game. Fix: Increase minimum SP gain to around 10k and have max gain at around 40-50k. This means that even at my lowest diminish return i should still get around 10k if i work hard and get top score. If i do bad then i should get 9k and lower.
Problem: Orbital Strikes should not as over powered. One game there was literally 4 or 5 orbital strikes called in back to back. Imagine having 16 players (4 squads of 4) all having the ability to get orbital strikes. One squad can stack a minimum of 3 OBs now you do the math. 12 OB strikes from one team alone. Fix: Return the OBs to the way they were, they were a challenge to get not a constant feature. I mean you see how the top 2 guys on warpoint leaderboard are playing the game.
These are just the few i could remember off the top of my head. Also, the new map is a little off at times since u can get on top on almost every building and sit up there. I suggest lowering the amount of buildings you can climb on top of. To tell you the truth, i would even have a problem with this if the strafing speed was a bit higher. Everyone knows who ever has the height has the advantage. But i do like the fact that they added ladders to the map we played last build. |
