Corp accepts a contract to attack a district at a certain time and pays 1 million in collateral, the timer counts down and in that time the contract waits for another corp to accept it, then both teams pile in, duke it out, then the winner gets 1,999,999 isk and the loser doesnt get their collateral back

These corp battles are for bragging rights only, whether we play for 1 isk or 1 million isk it has no value to the winner. Isk in the corp wallet can only be used for more contracts, but theres no point in betting if you use Monopoly money.

Isk in the corp wallet can be given back to corp members as well (through the members screen) Can only be done by CEO and Directors though.

Just the technical mechanics of how it works.

Depending on who wins the amount of EVE victory points to secure the system goes higher or lower. A corp has to opt in to a side before they can fight in FW battles.

So one out of three reasons that would seem to be compelling. Also, winning faction warfare corporate battles presumably bolsters the system influence for that particular FW system making it more difficult for opposing factions to degrade influence Yes? CCP Cognac, are the corporate battles currently released in Codex operating as you have described in this thread?

But you should get full loot of field including your own suits. In eve online, if you win a match you get to loot your self too.
