the new aiming controlls are really bad... my joystick doesnt react as it should... the new deadzones are way to big ccp... accurate aiming is way difficult now.... even if you increase the sensivity to the max.... it doesnt change anything....
the deadzones are way to big for the dualshock
the last build did it right and had a small deadzone.... it was great because you could easely follow an targed, and your character reacted to your input.... but now the deadzone are way to big and following an targed is now way harder... it also give the controller player a big dissadvantage to an mouseplayer
please make the aiming deadzones pre CODEX patch they were great
and here are some examples how it should be done

The controls are very bad, Wang has suggested running some Dev corp battles for them to test it.

I also noticed that following a target become more harder in Codex. I though it's because I disable Auto Aim, but reading this I'm staring to believe that they changed something.
Thumb up for better optimization options. |

Very true, in addition Aim Assist does not work properly. Hopefully CCP will do some optimizing. |

I love the stability of this build, but the controls are awful. Last build was much better, the hit box is too large in this build. |

Does it work at all? I can't really tell a difference. Aim assist or not it's not important. The aiming is clunky, this needs to be fixed. |

I would KILL for Ghost Recon quality aim control in this game. In fact the aiming is my only bitter discontent, I just have such a hard time understanding how every other game can get it so easily right, that you can run through a game and land head-shots with one round on the fly with no problem at multiple ranges... And then in this game your lucky if 25% of your bullets hit after 5 seconds of aiming at a moving target on medium range with aim assist on...
The mouse and keyboard was at least decent last build, but they even messed that up in Codex...
By the way CCP I LOVE the game and aside from that, its all good. But frankly you forced me into tanks with a large missile launcher and splash so i could hit stuff =), play smarter not harder. |

I even bought a new controller thinking the analogs were broke.
I use low sensativity to the deadzone nerf and upping of base sensativity has killed my gun game.
I see no reason why you cant just make these settings and give back the lower senstivty range |

The deadband drives me nuts. Please let us set the deadband, give us the technical jargon for how the control sticks work. We can handle it, honest. However, it doesn't drive me nuts as bad as the latency the PS3 has between input > output, but there's nothing that can be done about that.
There needs to be a bit stronger focus on human interfacing with the game, I'm generally happy with the progress.
Oh, btw, the mouse sensitivity bar doesn't seem to do anything.
Please investigate how model aircraft transmitters interface with the servos, let us adjust the settings that way, it makes so much sense! |
