I noticed this sniper camping one of the objectives so if you tried to hack it he would just kill you, so I spawned a LAV and went after him. When I got near him though it turned out he was in the danger area and it was impossible for me to get him. But he spent way longer in the danger zone than the 20 or 30 seconds your allowed. I don't think that in this case it's fair because we were unable to hack an objective. |

the zones change by team. so your danger zone covers his spawn, and his covers your spawn. so to him, it wasn't out of bounds.
don't get me wrong, i'm not defending his "hide behind the red line and snipe" tactic. i'm just explaining how it works mechanically. |

If by "danger zone" you mean he was in his own base, that is supposed to be off limits to the enemy team (your team). The enemy base looks like it's out of bounds from your point of view, and it is, but it is entirely safe for the enemy team to be in.
Now if he was in a place that was entirely out of bounds then there definitely was something fishy going on. |

ok yeah that didn't really occur to me till after I posted this lol But still it's a bit unfair, it can make a huge difference in the battle whether you control that null cannon or not. |

Sniping from in your own redzone (free for you, red to your enemies) is not a new tactic. It is and should be frowned upon even by the lowest percieved class of players, snipers, but it is a legal mechanic. The only way to rout them is with a counter-sniper or on occasion a very precise LAV suicide run.
Defense batteries can also shoot outside redzones, and no reason to think that the mechanic will ever change within Beta testing. Full release may not have red-zones in territorial disputes. |

prove you are awesome enough to kill him anyway!
Last build, I ran into the red zone, killed a sniper like that, ran back out, hacked a turret, and blew up the other turrets with it. (the turret I hacked was outside the red zone, ofc. |

Yea, in e3 build I hack enemy turrets in red zone a lot.
The red zone is not the same for each team, its like the red area is the same size, but offset a little for each, so there maybe a little on each edge only one side can go. And the large obvious home spawn areas each only allow one team. |

He was too far inside :( Aw. the one I killed was just crouching on top of some pipes under one of the tower structures (I'm sure you can figure out what map I'm talking about- the one that 2 or 3 builds ago was the only skirmish map) |
