Is it just me or does it feel wrong that you can buy allmost every militia gear as BPO for AUR while ISK players are stuck to pay over and over for crappy stuff? Well i pay 30 AUR once and can use that module for ever. Same goes for equipment like nano hives and drop uplinks etc. Combine that with the Type-1 MAG dropsuits and you have quite a solid fit which requires 0 ISK. Well im gonna abuse this to save ISK and then later on i simply get advanced stuff. |

Please post ISK price of modules you're complaining about people buying BPOs for so that we can more efficiently shred you "this game is so P2W - rawr, how dare CCP give people stuff for money that they didn't earn through gameplay" post. Some of us will be using AUR to catchup with everyone who doesn't have to work right now. |

Well the isk milit crap is only like 500isk..........
and you make like 70-80k isk a match.. don't see what the issue is.. unless your REALLY bad.
- actually don't think its even possible to be bad enough to not make money on it.
Edit: -
Most everything is under 700isk, mil assault suit has 7 slots, so lets just say all the mods you bought cost 700..
4,900 isk a suit.
die 5 times:24.5k 10 times: 49k
so i donno even after dieing 10 times your still making a profit. |

Ok...here we go. Yes, DUST is much, much more pay to win than it ever was before. A trillion percent times infinity more PTW...since it has always been and continues to be 0% pay to win. There has to be some reason for people to buy AURUM or else this game wouldn't happen for free and you wouldn't get to play diddly. So the AURUM items are infinite, or take less skills or whatever. But they are not better. You are paying good money for convenience, not performance.
I can go to a bar and buy a shot of tequila for x number of dollars or I can go to a strip club and pay 10 times that for the same tequila but I'll also get a whole bunch of stuff that is completely inappropriate to discuss here (and probably violates the Geneva Convention or something). It's the same shot, but the experience is different. Same thing here. You can pay money to get it now or you can be good at the game and get it later. The experience is different, you don't have to grind as much, but the result is the same. Either way when your AURUM gear comes up against my ISK gear it's going be even money every time. And besides...you will be able to buy AURUM gear with ISK once the game launches. And, AURUM is a finite resource, ISK is unlimited, requiring only skill and dedication. |

even then the Dropsuit only gives you 500 isk off. So why aren't they real sins like in a normal game? i want to put my skins on my better suits :/
untill then spending 6$ isn't worth getting 500 isk back per death. Also once the game is out you'll be able to get BPCs of those AUR only suits by killing people and looting them in the slavage screen |

AUR BPOs isn't pay to win. You don't actually have an advantage in a fight using them. All you have is a diminished financial burden. You aren't "winning" in any sense except for having a bigger wallet. |

I would like to have a visual mod slot that you can drop these into. That would solve both the problem of having unlimited free dropsuits and the problem of having to use a low-level dropsuit to get your preferred visual style. |

Thank you Fivetimes.....
Jesus. AUR items don't give you any advantage. They're cosmetically different from ISK versions (in terms of dropsuits) and some things are available to you earlier if you buy with AUR (example: assault rifles), but this does not necessarily make it "pay-to-win." Please don't bring this issue back up, I prefer to let sleeping dogs lie... |

It FEELS pay to win, but it really isn't. The 100 nanite injector I just bought were 69,000 ISK. I only have a little AUR, so I want to wait. Eventually, they'll be useless because of increased CPU/PG, which could end up with LOTS of these on the market once it goes live, or simply redistributed around the corp.
I had the same reaction, but the ISK involved is minimal. |

You are Trolling us right Dark Cloud?
I see you in my games. You are pretty good. I know I will have fight on my hands if I see you coming and It's good to see you on my side every now and then.... but Bro?
With a 170,000 isk payout per game. that militia stuff is CHEEEAP!
and as for the AU BPO's the exchange rate of AURUM is ridiculous. compared with other games featuring (don;t say it) Microtransactions Dust is pretty fair on Prices IMO eg. BGO and STOOL |

I had the same reaction, but the ISK involved is minimal. Most ppl when they see something that they may think gives them an advantage will feel like it's pay to win, truth is they don't know that it isn't |
