Hi,
This post isn't a complaint about how healers are not getting stats for healing, it's more about if YOU (yup, pointing at you) know who is healing you!
I've recently put a lot more SP into Logistic skills and I am finally beginning to earn some decent SP (15-24k per full game), however as there are no stats at the end of a game I am wondering if any of you actually take note of who is healing you during a battle.

Most people just keep running away while I try to heal them. Either they don't know or don't care who heals them. There needs to be something that appears on screen telling them that they're being healed. Stats at the end would be nice too |

I usually don't run away when I am healed, though no because I would need it (have an armor repairer and as long as I am not currently in the midst of a battle, that is enough...and in a battle, getting healed doesn't make as much a difference as the Logi killing what's killing me), but because I know the Logi gets SPs for doing it...I also rather use Drop Uplinks than CRUs, when they are near each other for the same reason... |

Totally agree. The only clue of being healed is you armor suddenly going up instead of down. I've been on both ends of the problem. As logi it's frustrating when people keep running away, completely oblivious of you trying to heal them. On the other hand, I can't really blame them, more than once I've been thinking to myself 'Wait, wasn't my armor at 1% just a minute ago? Someone repped me, what a nice surprise, I wonder who it was'. |

Yep, this is the case for me as well. I know I am thrilled whenever a fellow logibro revives me but it's harder to tell when I'm being repped (unless I happen to turn the right way at the right time).
Maybe we can get a new notice regarding reps as an update once CODEX is rolled out
I will say that while I don't always know which fellow Logi has healed me I am always grateful and try to return the favor/pay it forward as much as I can.
Cheers, Cross
ps ~ this topic reminds me yet again how much I'm looking forward to a board NOT ranked by KDR. |

lol you understand that in any competitive FPS the slayer role is always more important then support ... right
Furthermore the objective role is even more important then the support role
BTW I'd rather have KDR ***** on my team then a support scrub |

Also you speak to everybody like an ******* so your points are invalid.
Please have a nice day.
Also people try to remember that logis can't carry infinite amounts of equipment, so if we don't give you a nano hive then there is three things that could have happened 1) You're seeking help from a stupid person 2) That logi doesn't have nano hives/the piece of equipment you need 3) The logi as already placed all of their equipment and have none left |

As for nanohives...all my suits carry at least militia hives...only my Scout has a droplink instead...I do tend to run out of ammo with that one, if no capable Logi is around. |

When CCP adds EWAR and crusader dropsuits they might be able to disable/slow down your armour repairers though |

I also think the name of who ever revives you should pop up. It is nice to know who picks you up and who repairs you.
Give the logies some recognition for there service. |

Ah, well, then they introduce friendly fire, perhaps I'll put a few into the back of you too..... and see if your repper can handle that..........
Always some D*$k wanting to bring a perfectly valid thread down.
*Edit*
Just to add, seeing as you want to a bit of a smart ar$e, the answer to the actual question isn't "My Repper", in your case the answer would be "Me". |

You're right, Jax, and I'm as guilty of any when it comes to not knowing who is repping me. And I've spent some time as a logi, and have experienced the issue from your side.
But, in my own and other's defense, the names I generally recognize are the names of the enemy, especially the dangerous ones. Also, if my armour is in need of repping, my eyes are prolly glued to the action on the screen, even if I am aware that a logibro is helping me out(or saving my ass, as the case may be).
The other names I will actively look for are the assaults and heavies around me if we're pushing up on a position. Recognizing good fighters means we can push the objective a little more aggressively.
Other names everybody recognizes are the more dangerous tank drivers.
I know some good logi's, but that is only because they're in my corp and I've run with them in squad, where they are worth their weight in AUR.
And that's the key point here, I think. In pub matches, the experience will always be the same for our logibros. You might fight like a demon to clear the area and rez fallen teammates, you might put yourself at risk repeatedly to rep your heavies and assaults, you might run with very expensive kit and risk losing a lot more than some of the peeps you're supporting - but you'll never be appreciated for it and rarely thanked because that's the nature of pub matches.
It's only in a corp, and especially in a squad where you've all worked together and evolved your own squad tactics, where our logibros can truly shine. It took me awhile to have the realization that I couldn't be a logi by myself. For a logi to perform at his true potential his whole squad has to be trained in how to use a logi properly. It's a little different for assaults and heavies, lone wolfing is still rewarding for them in pub matches.
I would like to see 4 things regarding logis, all to do with information.
- HUD notifications in green, broadcast only to the team, not the enemy, telling who rezzed who.
- A HUD notification next to the sheild/armour readout that tells me who is repping me and for how much.
- On the minimap, the dot representing the logi repping me should be identifiable(different colour, flashing, etc.)
- At the end of the match there should be a battle report, detailing damaged inflicted, objectives hacked/saved, rezzes, repping etc. There should be a line in that report that says 'Vrain Matari' was armour repped +1200 hp by 'Logibro Jax GG'. At which point Vrain Matari will exclaim: 'Holy ****, I want that logibro Jax GG in my squad asap!'
And that's all I have to say about that =P
As a shameless non-objective postscipt, I'd like to say that It's worth checking out ZionTCD. They're the guys I've chosen to roll with and it's a place where logis are recognized and respected. |

OP, ignore all of the toolbags replying that their "armor reps" heal them. Not one of these tough guys would pass up a Logi guy holding a repair tool if they crossed their path even if they had an armor rep. Guess what? I run an armor rep on every suit. That does not mean i don't respect and appreciate a Logi fixing me up in a fraction of the time it takes the rep mod to get me from 0-100%. They deserve recognition for it. I may not cross a battlefield to get to a Logi to repair me since my repper will take care of it with less risk involved, but if a repair guy is nearby and my armor is low I will never turn down a repair, not only for my own benefit, but to also give him the bonus points because i'm a decent guy.
I agree, it is difficult to know who repairs you unless you actually notice him doing it. Especially if you have armor reps like me, you may not notice the added boost of a Logi behind you topping you up. I would absolutely support an onscreen notification of some kind telling you someone repaired you and who it was. Vrain Matari a couple posts back had a great system outlined. I'd also appreciate a special symbol next to the player tag to tell me if someone is carrying a nanite injector or repair tool so i know who to stick close to. Vehicle drivers would love this too.
Respect the people that revive, repair, and resupply you even if you don't think you "need" them. The Logi is the one guy you never think is important, until actually you actually need him. When you do need him, suddenly he is the most important man on the battlefield. |

Thanks for all the replies.
Hopefully my post didnt come across as me seeking recognition for healing........ I can assure you that there are far more players out there more deserving of credit than me (I really am not that good).
It was more curiosity really, I was wondering if people looked for it, how they responded to it, whether it made a difference to how they played......all those sorta things.
Some nice replies though..... and even if the game doesn't recognize it, it's good to know that many of you do and even the ones that admitted they don't take note seem like they know they should

Lol. Your best and most expensive repair module=5 HP/S My completely free militia repair tool=15 HP/S
PLUS not using a repper module frees you up for a different module, so I'm the one laughing at the guy who thinks he can play most effectively by himself. |

So, what's needed here is not only a small Icon informing you that you're being repaired. but also the name of the repairer and the rate at which you are being repaired,
That, along with a sort of pulse effect around the icon that shows how long they have till they get a WP payoff would be quite nifty since WP can make all the difference to victory.
