I can't believe they nerfed hmg again increased time to overheat so instead of firing 125 bullets it will be less? It takes almost a full clip of 300 to take down a scout. So let's hope they fixed hit detection. |

I'm guessing the bulk of their effort was spent on behind-the-scenes sort of stuff? Pretty underwhelming notes. I mean, hell, if they've fixed hit detection and the major bugs and stuff, I'm happy with just that, but I guess maybe the market delving from Buck got me all excited, because I'm actually really disappointed that Crusader suits, pilot suits, and other major new features aren't in this build.
Also, seriously? The NDA is still in effect? You guys need to give it a rest already. |

Hmmmm Don't know if that will go over well. Especially with the high cost of entry for a great many skills, and high cost to level up. Unless they lowered SP costs to be more like EVE, or raised the cap accordingly to be twice what you get in EVE in a week that won't go well at all. In EVE you can get a 1x skill to 3 in a couple hours passive training. Here 1 is ok, 2 takes some time, and depending on how you're doing 3 takes quite a bit, and then 4 takes longer. I can see them wanting it to take longer to get to level 5 though. |

Personally I think it is a waste of time nerfing weapons before hit detection is fixed. The nerf to the HMG is going to make it useless in laggy matches. |

So let's hope they fixed hit detection. The way I'm interpreting the notes right now, it would take the same number of bullets but less time because the rate of fire is higher. Although that's an uninformed interpretation, it could be that it not only takes less time but fewer bullets.

With the "greatly reduced" ISK price, I imagine they've made the militia equipment cost so little that the only reason people would pay AUR for a BPO is the convenience of not having to restock. Of course, that's just speculation until we log in and see how they're priced. |

I already can see nulsec battles where corporation A puts up a contract for DUSTers to wight and puts up a significant collateral. Then when Corporation B takes that contract up and pays the collateral and arrives in battlefield, the corp A initiates a 'backstab-move' to scam corp B to oblivion. :D |

I wonder whether this cap is going to be on a per-alt or per-account basis. So you could hit the cap with one alt on a combination of active and passive SP, but still level your other two alts with purely active SP.
Given that it's a F2P game, also, I wonder whether setting account-wide limits will be effective. People might just set up multiple accounts to get around that. |

Don't just randomly use catchphrases you see other people using on the forum. The answer to your dumb question is "no", and it has nothing to do with entitlement. It's about the game getting underway within a reasonable amount of time. |

I noticed there's no 'known bugs/issues' section in the patch notes. Could it be that this build is bug free? Or have they deliberately left out said notes so we can find our OWN bugs and glitches?

It is possible that it actually does apply to all Militia items. Unless someone from CCP comes here and clarifies we will just have to wait until Monday to find out for sure. |

And the whole F2P thing is why gaining only passive SP on one character is extremely lame. I can't just use one of the convenient additional character spots for my alt now, now I have to create a whole new psn account for that. It just adds inconvenience to making an alt and is completely unnecessary.
It is closed beta right now, so it isn't easy to make an additional psn account for Dust as you would need a second key, but when it goes into open beta this limitation will serve no purpose than to inconvenience players. |

i think people will play the first half of the week and then get a bit bored towards the end. I know getting SP and leveling isnt the be all and end all of this game but it makes it more fun
