In GNN's headline article today we discussed the different interpretations about Kill Death ratios according to some of the posts made here. Also, since it's a hot topic, we included a poll to see what the viewers think. |

I actually believe it depends on the situation- in ambush, KDR means everything. In skirmish, coordination is far more important.
Everything depends on what you're trying to do. |

Everything depends on what you're trying to do. Then why am I able to cap entire points on my own, while fighting off a swam of enemies coming at me in all directions? |

At this point, KDR means more than anything because you're investing. The ISK is well rewarded for those who kills a lot and less dying. Seriously, I don't even focus on the objectives anymore, just pure "Kill as many as you can" thinking. When you die, you have to replace the ones you just lost.
I'm using militia guns and it works well against other players that doesn't understand the mechanics of the game. When I start experimenting other skills on Dust, I finally realize that the guns are worthless if you die quickly. I start using CPU/PG upgrades to my suit, leveling my skills for damage boost for my weaponry, leveling up my shield resistance, and upgraded my repair rate for both shield and armor. I die less, more kills with my militia guns, I spend less. The only time I use my Forge Gun loadout which cost me a lot of ISK is when a player decided to throw out a Sargaris that gives them an advantage. Also, the only time I use my Dropship when I see no threat for swarm launchers and that threat usually happens when there are free supply depot that they can change their loadout freely.
So, I careful not to lose a lot of asset because I will go broke if I die a lot and not earning enough ISK for my insurance.
There so much things that we don't know about this game. I don't know how will impact dust players for winning a contract for EVE players to acquire a certain planets.
Do I get paid more for having many kills or winning? Do I get more ISK for working in a CORP, just like in real life if you work for private company for real money?
We're mercenaries, we don't judge their ambitions. Beat my price and I will strike the heavens. |
