It's dirty marketing. The product in question still has yet to be released, that is where all apologist arguments break down. Early access is ostensibly a free gift inclusion to all merc pack buyers. Just because it's legal doesn't make it right. |

See CCP have a revenue stream and the product isn't even live yet. Some of this revenue will be used to pay the developers to finish the game, thus they don't need to "rush" to get to market.
People will buy this new Merc Pack to get access to the beta, so they will make money there.
Additionally some people who have already bought the merc pack will buy a 2nd merc pack just for the extra items (40,000 AUR + 30 Day booster alone is worth more than the cost of the merc pack) plus as a bonus they will get these new dropsuits. I know this because myself and 5 other people I know have already bought the new merc pack when we already had the old one.
So, I reiterate, it's very good marketing.
No it's not. It adds uncertainty to the value of the deal, which you are ignoring in your calculations. |

That's really all that matters. If you don't like it, don't part with your money. Nobody is forcing you to.
Actually, they are if I just want the new items.
