what is the formula for this. because it seems random as hell or is it measured per hour. |

The more SP you get in a game the less you will get in the next game, it's not measured by time or by how many games your uou play. Each day it resets at 2:00 GMT, if you leave a game before it ends you're still in your "happy hour" which is what most people call it even though it isn't really for an hour.
EDIT: it's measured by the amout of SP you get in a day for E.G you get 500k SP today and you play another game and go 40-0 you might only get 25k or so, the next day you get 300k SP and play another game and go 40-0 and you'll probably get 50-70k SP. |

Personally I think that all diminishing returns does is punish the hardcore players for playing the game tbh.
I can see the idea behind it and why it's there. It just doesn't make any sense to me to deter the players from playing who actually want to play the game.
I'm pretty sure the average CoD kiddy would stop playing if they stop giving XP after a few matches in that game. The same applies here if you ask me. |

I used the repair MCC trick just to see how much SP I would get. It was a long game and I only got 800sp, wow. |

it doesn't give a whole lot of SP. i can go 15/0 and get only 20k SP then i can go for another match and get 6/2 and get 60k SP. i don't believe war points goes into the equation because if i am sitting next to a vehicle that has the defend order you get 2.5 times the points and still only get around 20k SP for a match.
victory or defeat doesn't seem to effect. the only thing i can think of that might have the effect is over all effectiviness of everyone on the team. if you are doing ALL the work you get more of the points. then there is the money calculations that are probably running on a different formula.
i really believe the calculation should be switched. money should be the determining factor of how much you pulled your team through and SP should be the lesser calculation depending on what you did for the team. |

All I know is that if Im going to get punished just for trying to keep up with players who started way earlier than me, I won't be on this game for long.
Or if I get punished for pulling the weight for my entire team and win us the game, only to get 20k sp I'm for sure not going to stay on for long. Already have gone through that on BF3. Not going through it on another game. |

i can see this being a large problem as well. that is why i don't believe in the deminishing return. because as i pointed out before, there seems to be no rhyme or reason for lower SP in one game than a previous game. if i do diddly i get diddly (giving ammo to sniper next and proceed to continously get sniped by enemy team). but there doesn't seem to be a difference between me getting on the top of the team and me being in the middle. sometimes i get more if i am in the middle and help capture points and heal. |

It should always be calculated match for match. It should not matter how well you did last time, how many hours you've been playing etc. TBH I think that for every action that benefits your team you should be awarded WP. On top of that they should be adjusted to reflect risk vs reward. So for example if you get a normal kill with an assault rifle you should get say 50WP but if you get a kill from a tank, you should get say 20WP. another example if you destroy a tank with a swarm launcher you get 150WP if you kill it using AV grenades you should get 200WP because thats a more high risk strategy which is likely to result in more deaths, and so you should get rewarded for it. Then at the end of the match you should be awarded SP and probably ISK based on how many WP you earned. Also there should be some kind of factor to adjust your SP earned based on your total SP relative to either everyones, your teams, or your enemies team. This way your total SP is based on your total WP and reflects better I think to how well you perform in matches. |

I had a similar idea.
How about the more ISK (or for sure AUR) jim spends on his load-out, the more SP is gained for destroying it?
Guy has a 300k drop suit load out, you get the same amount killing him as you do a 300k militia outfitted drop ship.
You do better in proto gear, getting more kills if you're good. But you get more SP from using militia gear and killing guys in proto gear. You'll get more deaths, but more reward for each individual kill.
Also, which mod moved this to bugs? It was in general last night. I don't see this as a bug, but rather as a flawed gameplay mechanic. Can it be moved to feedback or general please? |

Yeah, I think the general thing we're both kinda getting at is the reward you get should be more proportional to the risk. At the moment there really is no incentive to use decent gear other than to get more kills, because you get the same reward in SP and ISK whatever you do ATM. Well that's my experience anyway. This game is good becuase you have to think about what you're doing, there is a real economy and all decisions made come down to risk vs reward, unfortunatley ATM the reward is heavily outweighed by risk IMO. |

Good point, maybe they're hinting it's a bug... or bugged?
BTW, this is why I only play for an hour and a half to two hours tops, per night. |

I swear I remember reading something that was similar to this from CCP at the start of the E3 build. Am I wrong? Perhaps it was just about getting more ISk. |
